People, the plot of the single player campaign will mainly be close to Kane. It'll take us into three different periods, first we'll be playing pre-C&C3 after the firestorm events, then we'll be playing the background and secret stuff of C&C3 AND FINALLY Beyond! We'll see the titans and wolverines again aswel. In Kane's Wrath there'll be EPIC units, these units have their own build structure and have a great cost and size but most importantly firepower. The Single Player campaign will operate differently than before, you'll be playing with the Global Conquest which you have to play the missions in whatever order you wish and you can move your army and your epic unit in between maps (just like Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade).

I read in GI, (game informer), that there will be sub-factions that have specializations...

Sorta like the specialized forces from C&C generals.

Yes, The sub-factions are as below:

Black-Hand: This is a Nod sub-factions has some good infantry steamrolling tactics. They don't have an airforce though.

Marked of Kane: This is also a Nod sub-faction which focuses on Tiberium and has 2 new cyborg infantrys too, they're very high tech.

ZOCOM: This is a GDI subfaction which focuses on sonics and is overall decent. There job is anti-tiberium.

Steel Talon: This is the GDI power house. It brings back the Titans and wolverines from TS but has limited infantry power.

Reaper-17: This is the Scrin power house. They focus on ground power and only have a stormrider from airforce. They have good harvesters and have a scary tripod called the Reaper-Tripod.

Traveler-59: This is the tactical Scrin subfaction and brings back alot of similar stuff from the yuri faction from RA2. Thier airforce is cheaper and have a better mastermind and have some special forces called cultists who can mind-control other units.

Somehow I think Sonics will still not obliterate Tiberium as it is supposed to.

But more on topic... The single player aspect looks like it is going to be awesome, if it works the way they set it up.

I've heard that MIT students done the proccess of tiberium for EA. What I mean is that is that basically it's even scientific for them that sonics destroying crystals (tiberium) down. Even in one of the intel database thingys it says that sonics are used for destroying tiberium.

What's your point, archimonde? It's nice that MIT students worked this out, but that doesn't mean anything to me, to be honest. I already know sonics will destroy crystals, with the right pitch, you can theoretically destroy any substance. My point is that sonics don't obliterate tiberium in-game. Heck, they don't even damage it.

Tell that to EA .
But I remember them (Sonic emmiters) destroying lines of tiberium in game.

Yeah, I thought they used to do that too... I suppose it must have been changed in a patch because they thought it was imbalanced. Personally, I'm more for consistency than for balance.

it makes sense for sonics to destroy tiberium cause all crystals have a threshold resonance at which their bonds are shatterd. sonics did destroy tiberium until 1.09. AN ION cannon works just as well though^_^

maybe they stopped the sonics from destroying tiberium b/c that unneccarily destroys valuable resouces...

just a theory...

they are all about speed and slowing the enemy down e.g emp blasts, tiberium troopers slowing down vehicles etc.
