Are you at the main menu when you're entering the cheats?

yes im at the main menu the main menu is the 1 how u chose take drive missions or driving games and stuff like dat rhite? or is it the menu that u go when u pause the game?

Yea the main menu is the first one you mentioned, not the pause menu
If it still doesn't work (and you don't hear the noise after you enter the cheat) then maybe you're trying to use a fake cheat. These ones should work, but if you're entering those correctly and the game still doesn't recognize them, then I'm not sure what the problem is

go to main menu type in cheat first. then go to options and click on cheats and hit cheats on.
