I downloaded (And bought) portal from steam and after Chell goes through the first portal that GLaDOS makes the game gives something me this...
"error. The instruction at "0xc9105f8" referenced memory at "0x025f0010". The memory could not be "read."
HOW DO I SOLVE IT?!?!?!

Could be a few things.
1) Kill your graphics.
Go into the options menu, set all of your graphics to the lowest settings
if that doesn't work:
2) Uninstall the game
Tell Steam to install it by downloading the files, don't use a disc, since it's possible your disc was bugged

the discs don't really have any info on them anyway do they? That is why my friend hates Steam.
