There is a lot of good games that are underrated for bullshit like MGS4. Fire Emblem is a great series, but it has yet to become one of Nintendo's most popular series's.

they want gory violent graphics a la X men origins:wolverine uncaged edition.
not something that looks like an master piece in gameplay, graphics, etc., etc., this is better than a graphic novel.

okami is meant to be designed as a japanese painting, which makes it a wonderfull game, but..., people just dont look at this game in off, they prefer blood and gore, like infamous or prototype.

It is a shame that it's underrated though. Meh. I guess they don't chose to play it because of the "sucky graphics" or that you don't play as a human.=/
Playing as a human is boring, because you do that everyday. to get to play as a wolf is much more fun.
I played Okami when it first came out on the PS2, then bought the Wii version before I even had a Wii. I just got to stare at the case and read the booklet until I finally scraped together enough cash to get a Wii. It was like playing an entirely different game than the PS2 version! It was so much fun on the Wii!!

The reason it gets so little attention is that it's a really 'niche' title. Unfortunately most of the current gaming community are solely into your standard shooters, 'Mature' and realistic games and could care less for Okami.
It's unfortunate really, but Okami simply isn't popular in today's gaming culture.
