My brother bought this game when we first got our PS3. This game is autosave and when he turned it off and turned it back on again on the career menu said 'New Career' and had obliviously not saved. this has happened 3 or 4 times. Is it a corrupt disc or something? Please help if you can.

no, it's just a glitch, you're data is still there. I usually go back and forth between the offline/online modes until I see continue game. Unfortunately they didn't bother fixing this when they released a patch a little while ago.

Thanks. I searched around on the net and it seems to be happening to a few people. I solved it by taking the game back and swapping for a new copy of Ghostbusters and all the save data was there and it now saved perfectly. The problem I think is corrupt data on the disc.

Not so sure it's corrupt data really. This happened to me too, when I was half way through the game, and I decided to move the PS3 into another room so as not to keep my girlfriend awake while she was taking a nap. I moved it, turned on the game, and it said "new career" and no resume; I was about ready to go ballistic, then I figured I'd try hopping into online mode and got the "have you done single player yet?" message, so I used the PS3 menu to quit the game and check my saved game data section, the game showed there, so I booted the game up again, went to career, and "resume career" was indeed there.
