Wow, those data book scans are awesome. I'm glad to see some of the older characters now, not just the brand new ones. I loved the Diao Chan/ Lu Bu, Zhen Ji/Cao Ren and Nouhime/ Hazno page as they contain most of my favourite characters, Zehn, Nouhime and Diao in particular (though i think in the scan Diao Chan's pose is a little strange XD) Loving the details, pictures and graphics though. very cool indeed.

It's because of this that in graphics terms a render is a finished piece of work made by someone (for example, a character render). Somewhere down the line some moron started callings cuts renders, and than it caught on and is now accepted popularly as the correct term (and has been forced into peoples minds by sites like planetrenders), even though it's not
Think of it like Native Americans. They are commonly called Indians, when they're not. Indians are from India, but somewhere down the line somebody called Native Americans Indians and it caught on. It's a common mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. Anyway, I suggest we end this conversation as this is the information thread and we have no further information, thus making our little chat pure spam

It's not wrong it's called the connotation of a word.
A render is a cut and a render is a finished artwork so your both rite. Besides if a render is a finished artwork when you finish the cut isn't it a render then?

Not really the place for it, but I'll admit I too call them Renders, as that's what everyone told me when i first got photo shop. Now I know though
Anyway this is a general piece of information about the forum, not the game:
Despite the name 'Rebirth of the demon lord' being used on Wikipedia and in many neo posts prior to the creation of this forum, as it is not an official translation, I have requested to have the profile/forum name changed to Warriors Orochi: Maou Sairin. It is now out of our hands whether the change is approved or not, but we can hope.

Connotation is just a synonym for 'wrong and believed by the majority'
I'm not debating this any further, all I said was there's a difference between a render and a cut. If you don't believe me, fine, I don't expect you to. But I'm sure you'll believe The Dave or SXH (two well known and wise graphics makers (not to drag them in or anything)) since they said it here.
And if you feel I was saying people who call cuts renders are stupid (which I think you do since you're sounding a little touchy on the subject) than that isn't what I was saying. It's a common mistake (one which I used to make frequently), but a mistake nonethelss

That link doesn't really help as that is Stock/Render not Cut/Render. I know The Dave and SXH are good but two out of millions doesn't really cut it.
As for information I hope those renders of Himiko are released soon so the header contest can get going.
That was a smart move Balambgirl I was going to requests that also seems you beat me to it. lol.
