I remember when this was announced for the Gamecube. That was about 3 years ago now and nothing has came to be. I just wanted to know if there is any chance that this still might be released and if so have you any ideas for what the story/ new gameplay mechanics could be (I'm thinking about the Wii here). What I want to know most though is whether you think this title might yet see the light of day.

A sequel had been announced, but it swiftly vanished from the public eye. No idea why.
It may appear later on, but nothing has been mentioned thus far.

It's interesting how it just disappeared and was not officialy canned. Although if it was in the pipeline I'm sure we would have heard more from it by now. It's a shame because as far as I'm concerned, if this became a Nintendo exclusive series we wouldn't need Final Fantasy.

I beleive it was going to be called "Eternal Arcadia" Or i may have read something wrong off of some site, and i thought it was only being released in Japan, or was first being released there.

Nah, Eternal Arcadia was the translated name of the Japanese release of this game. The name was changed for Western releases.

Man, it took me over a year to beat that game. the memory card got damaged, my brother deleted it so he could save a replay of SSX Tricky, I lost it, found it, got it scratched, got it descatched, and had to buy a new gamecube. i finally beat the whole game about a month ago. treasure chests, discoveries, bounties, all of it. then i went to a game store, and sold it for ten bucks, and bought a splinter cell game, which i beat in 4 days. Its been about 3 weeks since i sold it, and REALLY regret it..

who knows. maybe they wanted to realease it on the next gen system, but the Wii wasnt good enough. maybe they will keep working on it until the next next gen systems come out. then maybe it would hold the huge gameplay and good grahics which the Wii just isnt capable of.
you just have to keep hoping. if you are positive about stuff, the things your being positive about will be drawn to you and other with the same ideals alike.

i hope they do come out with the 2nd part this was myfirst rpg game i had played and i went crasy for it it was just beastly
