this is a thread for all those who wanna remark on the problems with DW6 empires, and i know there are tons, like the lack of free mode, the long boring empire mode, the shameless xtreme mode style merc missions, and worst of all the lack of an effcient data carryover, ie ur character & weapon lvl resets for each new playthrough, unless u use clear points to get a bonus, but it was so long & boring i couldnt even honestly bring myself to clear even 1 empire mode...if i forgetten anything of you wanna add a "here here" to something i have said b/c it bothers u to, feel free..

That's really bad. I'd like to hear other people's opinions too, but you are clearly very annoyed by Koei. Just think though, if there are more people like you right now, Koei will be forced to do something. Or else give up.
Do clear points affect characters, or just weapons?

i have only seen it for weapons, but it my theory that u have to get it every time, what if u dont get enough points one time? and as for character development & level, thus far experiments have all come back saying that they reset as well, working to clear it and see if it saves that way, if not then it forces u to start from scratch everytime...

It's the first Empires game I have played so I'm enjoying it, though finding it complicated at times.

i dont know how many u get, i havnt cleared it yet, as i said, its a long game, for a warriors game anyway...

and as for the first empires u ever played xega, DW5 empires is cool also, seems a bit more understandable than DW6empires, but im startin to get it...

ok, i FINALLY cleared DW6 empire mode, it gives a message saying that by loading a cleared data, u can start with all weapons, horses, and clear points from the previous game...

still seems as though u lose ur character lvls, but seeing as how i lvled 4 of 5 of my ppl to 50 (max lvl) and many others in the high 40s by the end, i dont suppose it matters....
wether or not weapon carry over is infinite is still in the air however, also remember, only the weapons u improved will have any changes, so if u play with different ppl, the weapons will still be low till u get ALL weapons like u want em, and unless loading cleared data grants permanant weapon status saved, i still believe there is the possibility for a major ass *bleep* if u make a single mistake with ur data...

OK, i think i got this pretty much figured out, character lvls reset with each new playthru, and theres nothin u can do about it, and as for the weapons, well, the keep weapon lvl option is only for the weapons that u used/worked on in the last game, which means, for example, if play a game and work on say zhao yuns spear, but in ur second game u dont use zhao yun at all, when play game 3, and use zhao yun again, his spear will be reset to lvl 1, so, with the keep weapon lvl option u will have to play with the same characters, just to keep their weapon lvls, and the one play thru u dont use em, bam, weapon lvls reset, i know, i had 2 lvl 10 weapons for 2 of my CAWs, and i didn use CAWs in my second play thru, weapons reset...

^ does that mean that if u play as a made character and level him up he will just go shit again on every playthru?

uh, yea, character lvls reset every time....

weapon lvls are only saved for the ppl u used in the most recent playthru..

I guess this is the wrong place to say it, lol, but I truly enjoyed this game. I never liked Empires free mode, I love the long experience of the playthrough, and I was entertained by the extreme mode-like missions.

quote Wu Tang Forever
extreme mode-like mission - wtf does that mean?
You know in Xtreme Legends how they have Xtreme Mode? You pick a character and move around China as a nomad and basically can choose to take a mission and settle a dispute or something like that. It ranges from stopping bandits from attacking a village to being a messenger, or an escort. There also may be secrets on the level if you explore enough and rewards for doing so are bountiful. They did this on a lesser scale when you're an officer or a vagrant in the new Empires and I think it's not that bad an idea.
