quote Slim Jim
After talking to Innovate via PM, I have come to the following decision regarding TWG.

You guys have until your next PPV to show me that you can contribute to the forum. That does not mean going into random diaries and just spamming away with nonsensical rubbish. It means starting and engaging in actual discussions about EWR or any of the games that were spawned from it, such as WreSpi and TEW.

If you do that and this forum looks to be turning the corner with your help, then you lot can stick around. If you don't make the effort, then TWG will be gone from the forum and it seems you have nowhere else to go. The choice is completely yours.
quote Innovate
After much thought over the past night, about TWG, and discussion from my fellow Co-Owner, ZTR, I have come with an idea for everything. After Infection, TWG will be taking a break, we will be discussing a move, and if we can't go anywhere, well lets just say we have that sorted out.

Now, the idea I've been working on is a good one for some, bad one for others. After the break, WHEN we DO return, everyone's character will be thrown to the side, you all will give up your characters, excluding the champions. During the break, me and ZTR will be working out characters for you all, at random, and the idea is to have any wrestler, from any promotion be available, something I have yet to see be done in an wrestling RP. You all will be given characters some you may have worked with, some you haven't. TWG needs to take a turn, a challenge if you will. A challenge will make it more interesting. Your opinions are not necessarily needed because we want everyone to at least make the effort at trying this idea, when it comes to it, it could benefit you better than you already doing so.

Just take it all into consideration, don't judge it before anything is to happen, we want TWG to be different and this is some way I know how. I worked hard on this idea, and I'd appreciate it if you guys can at least try the idea.

Continue to RP, the PPV is tomorrow night! I will say this, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE here in TWG has made me so proud, TWG is my creation, and I never use the word "love" that often, and when I do I truly mean it, I love you guys. You guys have kept TWG alive, and that makes me so proud of all of you, I wish I could give everyone a World Title shot, sadly I can't, but still, you guys have made me so proud, and I really appreciate every single last one of you. Thank you all.

Everything sounds great and all, except for the part were we lose our characters. Could this be discussed because I'm sure most people would want to keep the character they have, including me.

I don't exactly like the idea either, but then again I think I might possibly be running out of ideas for Nigel.

Just as long as I get Homicide, I'm happy! Or Chris Daniels.

Slightly unhappy I'm losing my characters when I had a lot planned but I'll get over it.

It does seem odd to just up sticks and do that in the middle of something. You should do it from the start or not at all; personally I'm not too bothered having not been involved in this recently but I can see why those who are all settled and have spent time building up solid angles and feuds have every right to be pissed off.

Here here! Even if I do win the championship and not have to trade my character, it will be dissapointing to see people who have worked on their characters have them passed on. It makes no sense in the point of work. In the WWF 2002 RP, it was done from the beginning. But if I lose, it really makes no sense in my choosing of Chris Sabin as a character and working at my roleplays and character if I'm going to end up with Shark Boy or some crap.

Hmmm...

Good points guys. It does seem a bit unfair for people to lose their characters, especially if they've been working at it for a while. However, like Shape said, we aren't doing it just randomly after a PPV, there will be like, a couple weeks break after the PPV before the next show, so that you can all have time to build up your characters.

If that's OK with the high and mighty co-owners.

welp that sucks. No more Triple H for me and honestly I don't see the point in trying to RP for the PPV if Im not going to have him after it.

I'll take whatever character is given to me and run with it and hopefully do something good with him.

I understand you're all a little upset about losing your characters, but please just give this a shot. No offense meant to anyone who spent an extraordinary amount of effort building up your character, but it's been exactly one month since this RP started. We're proposing giving you all two weeks to RP with your new characters before the first show after the PPV. That's almost half of the time we've made until a PPV. That's some leeway to build up a new character, and another opportunity for you to have fun in the RP. Anyway, maybe it'll put your minds at ease to hear the process we're going through.

1.) ZTR, Inno and I are going to get a pool of wrestlers, we believe are well known enough to get a clear character, yet still have room to build.
2.) We randomly assign everyone a character. There will be A LOT of leftovers.
3.) If by one PPV you don't like your character/haven't built him up enough, we'll give you another shot at the draw, but this time we'll give you 5 options of who to pick.
4.) Role PM's will be delivered, and you can begin RP'ing, setting up, feuds tag teams etc.

Hopefully, this process will go down without a hitch, and you all continue to contribute positively to both this RP and the forum. You guys are the lifeblood of this RP, and I think I speak for all the authorities when I say that I'm personally grateful for your guys's patience and dedication.

Keep on keepin' on.

I came up with this idea to give everyone a challenge, step out of the boundary you all are in, I can understand the fact that you guys have worked hard, and I respect that so much, but when I started TWG, I stated that it would be different from any other RP, and look it, is it any different then any? No, it is the exact same, and I blame myself for that, so I tried to change that, and make something different, give everyone a challenge, not just one certain person. When I started this idea, I knew that some people would be pissed, but thats the thing you all need to realize, no one in life is every happy, you can't make everyone happy. You have to take risks, and sometimes those can build you, or they can break you, this idea, I thought would change TWG for the better, but it seems like no one likes the idea, no one wants to commit the idea, or even give it a try.

It really disappoints me that you guys won't even give it a try, you guys have judged it already without any of the action even taking place. Like I said, I understand what you guys are complaining about, losing your built up characters. Like Blode said, after the PPV, we are taking a break, but we will take a break from shows, so you guys can build up your new characters. If no one likes the idea of giving you guys a couple of weeks to build up your new characters, then I'll drop the idea all round.

I just want you guys to at least give it a try. You guys keep this RP alive, and it would be dead if we didn't have you. We just want you guys to have a challenge, and expand your mindset of RPing, please guys, at least give this a try, thats all I'm asking, if it doesn't work in the end, I'll drop it, give everyone their characters back, or TWG will just drop all together, and I really don't want that to happen.

Meh. I think it's a silly/stupidly brave move.

The way I see it, TWG has been doing just fine the last month. At the end of the day, I've had the same opinion right from day one.

You completely, and 100% rushed into starting TWG, in order to 'Show' me and Homi how things can work when people work together. You told us you were creating your own rp, and we thought 'Ok, lets see where this goes'. But you started it within an hour or the conversation. You didn'tgive yourselves nearly enough time to think about what might make the roleplay different.

When myself and Shape got together and decided we were going to create a new Different roleplay, we were looking forward to starting it up. And it took us 3 Weeks to get everything together, and make it different. We now have a completely different RP running, with twists that make it different from the rp. some of which I can comfortably say you are 'borrowing'. Even if our draft didn't inspire you, you can't tell me that you came up with role PM's yourself knowing we used them no more then a week ago.

It's like WWF 2002 not bothering with a draft, then as people get to grips with characters changing our minds and introducing one. The reason people aren't giving it a chance generally, is ebcause it isn't a very well thought out idea. That's me speaking from the point of view of the likes of Shmoe and Homicide.

If I was Shmoe, and I lost the title match at the PPV, havign rp'd (incredibly well) all month, and developed my character to how I wanted him, I'd be beyond annoyed that he is being taken away from me without me even having a decent say in it. Homicide, for the first time in a while, seems to be really enjoying his rp'ing, and it's awesome to see him getting his passion back. But you're taking away his character without even giving him a say.

I'd like to highlight this line in particular Inno.

But you see, a much higher percentage are complaining about this, then embracing it. So no, you cannot make everyone happy, but If I was in your position, I'd be making damn sure that I'm making the majority happy.

I have to agree with the statement about making it too soon. You told me about it, some good thinking was going about - it was 3AM GMT time, I went to bed - I woke up in the morning - it was already made.

WDS makes a very valid point.

I did start TWG too fast, but regardless, it has been doing very well, and I, myself need to take blame for my mistake on not thinking any ideas through until now, I won't blame anyone else, except for myself. My idea is dropped, its done. The RP will continue to be this way, everyone's characters will be in tact, if any of this makes me look like a jack ass, so be it, I should have thought this idea out when TWG first started.

Again, I am sorry for the confusion these past days, and no one needs to worry about losing characters, the idea is hereby dropped.

Keep the RP's coming, PPV is tonight.

And I'm sure that will help a lot. As I've said before to you, I'm sure the idea would have worked at the beginning. It's just too late to take away characters and give out new ones.
