hi all, my name is guilmon for those who don't know me, fo those who do, hi, how's it going? but ne who, back on topic. I know eliwood japnaese name is roy, but how about everyone else? I use to think that hector was marth but then I realized that was impossible because not only does hector have a totally different fighingt style than marth and look different, he also is from ostia which marth is not.
Ps: what did ya'll name you tactician? I named mine marth in honor of... marth.

I named my tactician Roy! lol, I kow Eliwood was the japanese name, but I felt like calling him Roy lol, and it stinks marth isnt in the game...

First of all, Roy and Eliwood are the not the same people. Roy is Eliwoods son. Notice how Eliwood uses a rapier like weapon, and in SSBM, Roy uses a longsword?
I heard something about Hector being Marth's father.
Lyn's full name is Lyndis.
Oh, right, my tactician is named Zephyr.

EDIT: well I researched a bit and found tihs. it turns out I was right. roy is eliwood and marth is not the son of hector.

One of the game endings show Hector and Eliwood talking to each other after several years. During this time Eliwood introduces his son Roy to Hector and his daughter Lilina(?). The Roy shown during this scene does look a lot like a younger version of the Roy in SSBM. (He should as Eliwood looks like Roy and he's Eliwood's son). I got this ending my first time through this game. I think that you must go through at least one support conversation between Eliwood and Hector because I've heard that there were other endings gained by the level of the support conversations.

Lyn being Marth? First of all, Marth has blue hair and looks like a guy. Lyn is a girl with greenish hair.

sorry I hadn't beaten the game when I posted that.
ok, now, let's clear things up.
Marth is a guy, not lyn. ok. he was the original star of fire emblem for like 3 installments. then they switech to roy. then gfor this game they thought it would be fun to use roy's father eliwood as the main character. but the next game will use roy as I've seen screen shots with a younger looking version of eliwood and marcus and melinus are really old.

my new file is also marth is the tactician in honor of fire emblem1 that i played long ago in japanese but its great even you dont know the story!
