I have been trying for 2.5 hours now, and I can't make this log jump.
It's the jump in Water Hazard, right after you defeat the BOSS helicopter. You have to open the gate to the main building, kill the guys, open the overflow gate, and then jump the log jump through the open gate to the pool below to start chapter 5.
I have tried everything to make that jump. The gate is over. I try full speed, hit the log jump, and fall about 2 feet short of the opening everytime. ARG.
Please help me. Thank you.

You must be jumping through the wrong part or something, I just went at full speed and cleared it easily.

Yah. I've read all the walk-through's and nobody ever mentions this problem. I feel kindda stupid,but I just started the hlecopter thing fromt he beginning, then watched the gate go up, and tried again to go through that exact gate, and no good.
I hit the logs at full speed, and run right into the ledge. Not through the hole. Arg.

All i can say is to go back as far as posslible, and hit the jump as straight on, and as fast as possible.
Do any lining up early, so your not weaving trying to hit it.

yeah i know what part your talking about, just keep trying and you eventually get it i always kept dying.

Yes, Valve mentioned the problem in their forums, you've got the hit it at the right speed, get a HUGE run up, then hit it in the middle, you should clear it by 1 meter atleast.

r u talkin bout the wood jump wit the air tanks?if so go through the tunnle to the right of the jump their will be som air tanks place them under a open baket in the water...happy?
