Subject: Cheats Don't Work

Well I'm stuck in the sewers after the Jeruselum part.. surrounded by like 10 armed guys... Im hiding under the grates... completely out of any ammo and not doing so well on health.
I need a cheat to continue really... cause I'm not up for starting over to get back to that point with enough ammo. I followed the instructions on how to change the config file for the key binds. That splintercelluser2.ini I was able to ad the new binds... save it... went back into the game.. tried the binds... none of them had any result. Just for the heck of it I tried it with standard binds like.. jump... fire... and that had no effect either.
So... I changed a bind.. in game.. and went back to check that file... and nothing had changed... but when I went back in game those generic binds were still the way I'd left them. So basically.. this file seems to have no impact on my game so I'd like to know where those binds I changed in game are being saved at lol. And why my cheat binds don't work.
