im surprised it was that much! wow, i think that adding blood wouldnt help the game, and only make it less appealing. i way rather have more vissual affects than blood... if team ninja put blood in the next one ide be really dissapointed

I'd be indifferent actually. It's already a mature rated game, might as well have a reason for being M rated

ya but adding blood will just take another step back to those games that i hate with a passion. next there gonna have weapons that you cant counter, and then they are gonna have enviromental like spikies and other voilent things that are not neccessary. this is a very clean and fun game and it should be kept that way.

Not likely.
Itagaki has already expressed his undesire for weapon combat (I believe). This is all speculation right now. Besides, weapons would leave certain characters at a disadvantge - what would Lei Fang fight with? Like I said, if they did it right, a bit of gore would be cool, imo.

im just saying, that after blood they are bassicly going to say "why stop there, it already has a mature rating.." i think that team ninja should just try and get back their teen rating and not enforce their mature rating.

Interesting point.
Thats why I'm saying if they showed restraint it would be good. If they overkilled it, it would suck.

even if there is blood in the next one, i think that it would be stupid.. if there is only a little i might buy it but if they over did it even a little, i wouldnt even concidere it.

The odd's they will even add blood are about 1-100 I think. Itagaki wont want to see his angels bleeding. Also, the fact the series was consistantly without gore until this point makes the idea of changing it suddenly feel a tad random.

They shouldn't too much blood though. That's Mortal Kombat's style. Not '.

Personally, I still say maybe a little bit is OK, but not overkill like is common in many M-rated games today, not just fighitng games. And cetainly not coughing up blood like in anime-I guess what I could tolerate is if they keep it mainly to any cutscenes and keep it out of the actualy gameplay itself.

It's interesting. Everyone says "Don't over kill gore if your gonna add it", but what is over kill?
To me, Mortal Kombat is overkill. Blood after every punch is silly. Some cuts, wounds, and even some blood being coughed up is alright to me. Anything more is overkill, imo.

I like fight club's thing, where you see the fighters bones brake, it's pretty clear buts it only a game, maybe they could do something similar with that idea but as for blood and that they want to keep the game in the age rating it's already in.

Even though having blood in games are kool to me it would just look sorta weird on DOA for a reason.

An even better example is the old pre-MK arcade fighter "Time Killers". That game had tons of blood, gore, and dismemberments & decapitations before there was even MK.
To the one who mentioned not wanting it in DOA for "a reason": I can understand where you're coming from. Since blood's never been present in DOA before, it would feel rather strange & unusual at first.
