There seems to be alot of "I need help threads" so lets just put it all in to one. If you are having running Battlefield Vietnam on your computer please post it here. When you ask for help please give us your specs.

Some poeple dont know this, to see if you meet the game requirements go to the Vietnam directory. From there click on the ereg folder and double click "eahelp". When it opens up go to page two, to do that switch one to two on the bottom right. Now go to contact technical support, then press ok. It will quickly grab soem sepcs and see if you meet them. Go to requirements on the top right, there it will say what you meet, and what you dont meet

I'm thinking of upgrading my computer so I can get better proformance out of this game. Should I upgrade or just buy a whole new PC?

The PC I'm using now is an HP which I bought new in August 2002:

2.26GHZ
Pentium 4
512MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 (definetly need an upgrade there)
and about 21.7 gb of hard drive space left.

Should I upgrade or buy new?

I would say upgrade, your computer is great EXCEPT for the video card >_< Come on bizzy, you need to get a 128 or 256. I my self have a 256mb video card. Its an Nvidia as well, With a 128 you will be able to put your textures on high and geometry on medium. With a 256 everything can go on high.

I was doign fine with 1942, but Vietnam has changed. Heres me with 1942

and heres me with Vietnam

I have no idea why my processor dosent match But my CPU speed isnt enough for sure

I'm going to get a new graphics card then, and probably some more RAM. My friend GM says I should go with the ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB DDR AGP Graphics Card, but I've heard mixed opinions on how the ATI's work with Battlefield games, saying that BF works better with NVIDIA cards, so it's ether the 9800 or the NVIDIA Geforce FX5900 card. Can anybody recommend which card I should get? And is there any requirments on getting a new card I should be aware of?

I like NVIDIA, for some reason I just seem to trust them so much and there cards are so awesome, my video card is purple, lol. how kool is that?. I have never had an ATI though so I am not sure how thye handle. The only reason Nvidia is good for BFB is because Nvidia and EA have some kind of deal or somthing going on. Thats why Nvidia has 3 BF1942 servers, 1 Desert combat server and i think 2 BFV servers.

I can't get BFV to run. When I double click the icon or attempt to launch it from the start menu, I get the hour glass for about 3 seconds then nothing. Please help.

I'm in some serious need of assitance. Either in single or multiplay, i can't see any players, only guns moving around, and the player name. It's really frustrating to shoot a guy when you can't see him. Any help would be helpful. Thanks!

Yeah, I've got the same floating gun problem. Also, I can't see my own hands, just a gun floating. I've heard people talking in another forum about AA and AF. What are those. Also, what do you mean by "mess with your settings?"
