Guys, if you have a question about the game, why not take it to the designated forum?
I know this isn't a GameCube cheat, but you can do it on the GBA player disk. When you insert Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, go to World 4-3. Go to the area with the two pipes making a wall. Make sure you have zero eggs. Get on the right pipe after defeating the Piranha Plant and then spit the Koopa shell you should have picked up into the two pipes.
I call this, Cheating Death. You keep getting free lives(that's why I have 500 lives so far).

Enabling heavy altering of the physics in Ocarina of Time and Master Quest are by far my favorite 'strange' cheats. I believe you could also alter the color of your tunic as well, along with a myriad of other strange and bizarre things.
