Sorry I worded the sentence wrong. I meant to say:
Do you just make up movesets for random Pokemon...
No, I make up movesets for the pokemon I own. Except in that case. I was just trying to find 2 pokemon that can benefit each other in a double battle. They can heal each other because of the Volt/Water Absorb abilities.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I often just select a Pokemon at random (usually one I recently caught) and try to develop a good moveset for it and then raise it (EVs and all) to get that moveset to work. Hence why I have an Ariados as a possible Emerald party member.

I just realized something: I've been throwing together pokemon and movesets for a while now, but I still don't have an actual team to use in wireless battling. I need suggestions of some strong pokemon with good moves to use in my team.

Use whatever you want to use. I have 9 Net Battle teams, although I only really use about 3 or 4 of them

I was thinking of:
Swampert
Alakazam/Gengar/Gardevoir (which one?)
Metagross
Tyranitar
Dragonite
Crobat
Any moveset suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's a cool team. For Swampert I suggest the Physical Sweeper set:
Swampert @ Leftovers
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rest
Alakazam @ Leftovers
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Psyhic
- Fire/Ice/Thunder Punch
Gengar @ Leftovers
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
That Gengar is the standard set I like the best, although there are lots more options for it.
Gardevoir @ Leftovers
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
Metagross @ Choice Band
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
- Taunt
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
I hate that set, it really annoys me.
Dragonite @ Leftovers
- Safeguard
- Outrage
- Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower
Crobat @ Choice Band
- Aerial Ace
- HP Ground
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb

Using that set anyway. Some people like to give it a Special attack like Crunch in which case you would probably choose Brave.

Mime 8.5/10 dont need Light Screen if you have calm mind
and im not sure is psybeam the best psychic move it can learn?
Blastoise 9/10
just dont see why return would be there...if you need a physical damager then why not EQ?

Another attacking move, nothing comes to mind at the moment, seeing as you already have 2 defensive moves and all.

Here's my team. I know it's a strange team, but tell me what you think:
Jolteon @ Cheri Berry, Mild nature, Volt Absorb ability
*Thunderbolt
*Thunder
*Rain Dance
*Thunder Wave
I need assurance against Dugtrio. I really wish it could learn Reflect! Forget HP Ice for a moment.
Tentacruel @ Leftovers, Docile nature, Clear Body ability
*Surf
*Ice beam
*Toxic
*Barrier
Somewhat of a tank. Toxic seems out of place. Should I use Mirror Coat instead?
Magmar @ nothing, Rash nature, Flame Body ability
*Flamethrower
*Fire Blast
*Sunny Day
*Psychic
I use Psychic for more type coverage. Fire Blast and Flamethrower together seem lame. Suggestions?
Bellossom @ Leftovers, Bashful nature, Chlorophyll ability
*Magical Leaf
*Solarbeam
*Sunny Day
*Synthesis
What? I like grass types. This one can actually survive a few Ice beams and gets Sunny Day boosted speed.
Marowak @ Thick Club, Serious, Rock Head ability
*Earthquake
*Rock Slide
*Swords Dance
*Double Edge
I don't think this one can get any better. Can anyone prove me wrong?
Dragonite @ nothing, Quirky nature, Inner Focus abililty
*Wing Attack
*Brick Break
*Dragon Dance
*Safeguard
Safeguard protects from burn and other nasties. Dragon Dance to perfect sweep, Wing Attack for STAB, and Brick Break is for ice types and others.

Heracross
Endure
Reversal
Megahorn
Filler
Vaporeon
Surf
Ice Beam
Acid Armor
Rest
Yeah so I need two more pokemon, any moves that can be changed, and I need to know which items are to be held by which pokemon.
