I have been havinng this problem twice now and this is the first time that it affected my progress in the game. I am at the two yellow platforms before the bullet bill sniffit in booster castle. I can't get to the second yellow platform cause I just cant reach it no matter how hard I try. HELP!!?

You need to run and jump.
I believe the Y button makes you run, give it a try.
But I am just making a guess on the button.
I don't really remember.
But yeah, if you don't run... you really can't get past that part.
