Although I think that DKC2 is a harder DK game, the hardest level I've ever played of any DK game was the last Lost World Level. The rocket thing. That took me nearly 5 hours straight up to beat. I got the sore fingers and blisters from that level.

I think there were some dinosaur world that were hard, other than that, the world where Lightning always blows up was hard.

If the rocket level you mentioned is the one where you have to collect the fuel then I agree that it was the hardest level. Getting the DK coin took me days...

I remember having trouble with that stage with the lightning bolt. All the while you're going through the stage, a lightning bolt basically tries to fry you from above. One sticky part required you to have perfect timing to go underneath some razor bees through water; if you stalled too long, you'd basically get cooked.
(water conducts electricity after all!)
Also, that pipe level with the purple substance. Once you entered the purple liquid, your controls were reversed, so moving forward would make you go backward, etc. It wasn't THAT hard, but it sure was frustrating.
(say I had to go right to avoid a incoming enemy, I would naturally press the right control button, which with the reversed controls, would make me go left instead and smack right into the enemy)

Yeah, that level was hard.I think there were a wle where you were like in a kind of rocket, if I remember, it was actually pretty hard, thoughI don't really remember what you needed to do there.

The lighting one was a pain. It took me a good amount of time to beat. The level where your controls get reversed, I just flipped over the controler.

I thought the last level was pretty hard and i got confused with it a lot and the boss i didnt like.

I can't remember all the stages, though I remember having trouble with one of the ice stages and one of the Factory world stages.

I hated the boss level too. It was very frustrating and took me several trys before I was victorious.

The Krem Battle 2 was pretty hard to do, since if I remember he always used his electric power so It was hard there.

Yeah some of the boss stages were hard.
I liked versing some of the bosses though.

Funny, the rocket level and the reversed control level caused me almost no trouble... But the Koindozer level or whatever it's called and the Swoopy Salvo level (the bonus levels are so hard to get to without dying) were damn hard! I think the hardest level in a DK game ever is Animal Antics in DKC2, where the parrot gets blown into the brambles all the time.
