Subject: Grandia 2 PC Problems - READ HERE FIRST
-------------------------------------------
I have tried this on several systems and it's worked perfectly each time.
Step 1. Install the game
Step 2. Use the No-CD Crack you have *there is only one in existence so we all have the same one*
Step 3. Copy all files from CD 2 and paste them on the game's main directory, that's it.
The game will now work.
As for codecs, Do not install garbage like Kazaa codec packs,
Most of the people playing this game are already anime fans and should have CCCP installed or something similar.
You do NOT need to install those worthless old codecs that people have linked you to.
BUT
Everyone that hasn't seen any video in the first place are the people that actually don't have any codecs installed period, in that case download CCCP *Combined Community Codec Pack* it's endorsed by virtually every single fansubbing group out there. CCCP doesn't take control of your system and the codecs do not conflict with eachother. But basically my point is do NOT install the old codecs that people are linking you to. [link name=]
http://www.cccp-project.net/1[/link]Installing the old codecs just for this game will cripple newer media, and that's a solution for moronsDo what I said and enjoy, this thread was full of stupid babble by people who were spouting out random solutions.
Obviously some people are having other problems but that's not related to the Crack/CD2/Codecs.
For a majority of you this is the solution you're looking for.

I'm using Vista here and I'm currently not having any 'real' problem with the game.
I've realised one thing about the 'avi' or fmv playing ingame. (With the nocd crack). I found out that when i make a fresh installation of the game, the starting fmv's work and show up but then every other time i play the game again afterwards it doesn't work. So if i wanna watch the fmv's ingame...u hafta delete config.cfg every time u wanna play the game. But it becomes tedious as u hafta reconfigure every time...
If someone has another solution...plz tell me XD

Well, I'm not sure if someone has asked this before.
But, when I start up the game (has the no CD crack there), the screen is black and it keep telling me to configure it through GmConfig. I kept doing that and it's not doing anything.
Help!

Its been answered many a time. Copy the files from CD2 to the same directory on your computer. VMS to VMS; Visual to Visual; etc. Also make Gmconfig.exe read only and move the .exe over as well. I copied over everything else that was left over anyways. This all goes into the program folder.

Rite, so...
I finally found this game lying around in an old storage room, so I installed and was going to play.
What really bugs me is that when I leave the Church of Grania in the beginning to enter the Black Forest, I lack the file DungeonB.vms.adx.
This crashes the game and I´m pretty much stumped.
I tried copying everything to the game folder from the CD2, every file except DungeonB.vms.adx works, that one doesn´t for some reason.
Hopefully someone is still using this forum, help is much apprieciated!
