Subject: Grandia 2 PC Problems - READ HERE FIRST

hii
i downloaded the game ( the 2 cds) and i installed it and i noticed that cd 2 installation begins after 94% of the installation...
when i ran the game,a picture(window size) is displayed then an illegel operation window pops up...
i tried to download no cd patch but the screen turns black when i run it...
i copyed some files from cd 2 which were not in the game directory but that didnt work...
Can any one PLZ help...?

I also am having problems with Grandia 2.The problem is with the Fallen Wings spell during the battle with the eye creature in Aira's Space.It's crashing and all i get is a black screen with a picture of Millenia on it.Have looked through this forum for the answer but so far aint found it.Have also contacted Ubisoft to see if they can come up with an answer.

I have experiences both your problems....
1. The Fallen Wing Spell : Well... the only thing I can say is, dont use it... I was forced to do that...
2. When your Screen turns black try hit the F9 Button, and wait a sec... It normaly schould work... but remember... before you run the game, always star gmconfig first... I dont know why, but somehow it still works for me
3. I have also tryed to contact UBISOFT, but they told me, that they couldnøt help, that I have to install A computer with Win98 or ME, but you can use WinXP, if you only use Partition FAT32...
I Hope this here helps a bit...

Help! I hav a problem in installing. When it comes to 97%, it stops then it said that data3.cab is corrupted. How can i solve this? Or maybe someone can post the data3.cab file so i can download it? I desperately need it. Help!

I have a problem. The game doesn't seem to recognize my gamepad, and thus it can only be played using keyboards. Is there any way to fix it?

Fallen wing can be use no Problem on xp, and ever other animated spell such as the one with lightning ball. this is true for japanese version.things should be the same for english one.the one thoese animated movement didnt work is because ur avi decoder have confilic. one way to overcome this is to keep clicking to keep the window active. ha. teach yea something. go google for codec mega pack .
** Run the GMconfig Everytime before playing, also I found setting the keys closer worked eg
z = accept,<== r
x = cancel,<== e
c = run/walk,<==Use tab
a = rotate cam left,
d = rotate cam right,
f = change compass setting.**<==d

solution for Millenia Zap! bug

- Equip weapon with lower ATK rate and don't equip any acessories that rai-

- Never attack Millenia from the very beginning, always use Defense command

- "The key to avoid the bug is not to speak to the combat tutorial guy in
the shop. When he explains the sequence of combat, the logic of monsters
are somewhat mixed up. So the solution is to start over the game, and
never speak to the tutorial guy".

Battle videos "problem" found!!!!!!!!!
If you don't have vGA_LOGO.avi or vubi.avi in VISUAL folder any move/magic that require a battle video will freeze and you will have to do alt+f4.
solution: if you don't have cd 1 copy any 2 videos that you have, paste to the VISUAL folder and rename them or download my two blank videos http://rapidshare.com/files/26945516/vGA_LOGO.avi_and_vubi.avi_BLANK.rar.html (1kb)

Grandia II is possible to be completely done in Windows XP with or without a no-cd crack.
You only need to run GmConfig.exe every time before run the game or better make GmConfig.cfg "ONLY READ".

HI guys,
my english isnt that well. but i try to explain it.
After the Scene where you first fight against melfice (the fhigt where you CANT beat him) Roan talks to his father (btw, his father (the king) only says 1 or 2 sentence), after that little talk he goes back to ryudo, millenia and mareg. and THEN it happens ..... nothing! just nothing happens, i have waited for 1 hour, but nothing exept of one popup: "[WK01.vms]" and the only thing you can to is press "OK"!
please help me! please!

i cant copY this file from the cd2, too.
i cant find a no-cd-crack in the internet and i cant make an image of cd2 because with 97.8% there are onlY reading-errors!

Well, here's an interesting problem.
The game installed just fine, but when I go to run it, I see the loading screen, and then a dialog box telling me "Please eject and re-insert the CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application".
