Subject: THPS2 crashes on Windows XP

I installed THPS2 on my pc (running on windows XP), and I can get onto the start menus no problem, but as soon as I try to load any level the game immediately crashes to desktop.
I found a note on an activision site that said that it was unlikely that the game would work on XP (was designed for windows 95/98), but I was hoping there was some way round this problem.
Has anyone else had similar problems and managed to fix them, or does anyone have any ideas how i could sort this out?

This is actualy the forum for the Dreamcast version, but over here is the PC versions forum. If you look there you'll see the first thread in the forum is about problems running this game in XP so hopefully there will be something there that can help you .:Thread Closed:.
