Okay, I'm bringing this to you guys because I tried getting in contact with tech support and the only thing they would tell me was "We do not give out game hints." But I'm absolutely certain this is a bug in the game.
Anyway, I've gone through werewolf island, everybody has turned into a werewolf, I've gone through the tunnel, fought the main werewolf lady at the ship, retrieved the sea charts, and clicked on the sail to return to Ulgoth's Beard..... and nothing. Nothing happens. As far as I know, I've done everything but the ship doesn't sail. Anybody have any clues? Is there something important I'm forgetting to do?

Hmmmm, I don't know. The last resort is to kill everyone on the island except your people. If that doesn't work, just cheat and teleport back to Ulgoth's beard.

The question is, if I just teleport to Ulgoth's Beard, does that continue the ending part of the quest? Or do I just take the experience points and run?

Well, if you want to be true to thyself, reload and try the whole thing again. If you want to powergame, give yourself the amount of experience and items that you
would have gotten.

I am having the same problem and I have just posted a similar thread. I have not even been able to get a hold of any tech support. I believe there is a bug in the game as well. Have you received any useful hints?
