Once there was a ritch squirrel called Puffy. She was moving to a town called "Neoville". Finally, she was ready to go, and stood in the pouring rain for a cab. AN HOUR LATER... "Hello, miss, I'm Kapp'n, your cabbie for the day." " Finally. My pure-silk dress has got drenched." " Wait a minute...you're that buisnessman's daughter, aren't you?" " Yeah. But Dad went bankrupt so he gave all his money to me." " All right. Where are you off to then, Puffy?" " Neoville. My dad's birthplace." Soon they were in Neoville, where Puffy was greeted by Tom Nook. " Hi! I'm Tom Nook. We take pride in welcoming such a famous person to our village. We built you a house. It has two floors and four rooms. The cost is 1,000,000 bells..." Then Puffy made a prompt payment. She didn't want a debt hanging over her. Turning away, she bumped into a fox. She was red, with white tips, and carrying a bunch of purple roses. The fox looked surprized, then dropped the roses. " Oh!" exclaimed Puffy. " I'm sorry. I didn't know you were there. Oh...those flowers are beautiful! Are they...free?" " No, sorry!" smiled the fox. " 100 bells a bunch. But it's worth it." Puffy brought a bouquet of beautiful roses. "I'm Puffy." " My name is Juliette. Hey...aren't you that buisnessman's daughter?" " I am. But I just don't want to be known as that. I want to be seen as a person." Juliette patted her shoulder. "I understand. Come on. There's something I want to show you." CHAPTER 2 Julliette led Puffy to the Able Sister's tailor shop. They were greeted by Mabel. " Hi, Welcome to Able Sisters! What can I do for you?" " Mabel, this is Puffy. She needs a job. Are there any going spare?" Puffy looked around. She saw another porcupine sitting at a sewing machine. " Hi! I'm Puffy!" she greeted her. The porcupine didn't look up, but said; " I'm sorry...I'm really busy!" Juliette signalled to the porcupine. " That's Sable. She's always busy. Here, Mabel needs a person who can serve coffee to customers who come in for a chat. Think you can do that?" Puffy shrugged. " I guess..." she agreed. Then, Julliette took Puffy to the roost. " Two coffees, Brewster, please." ordered Juliette. While Puffy and Julliette were sipping their coffee, three people came in together. One was a duck, one was a human, and one was a penguin. Juliette smiled. " Puffy, meet Quack, Trevor, and Cube." Puffy smiled at the three boys. " Hi, I'm Puffy." Puffy noticed that Cube was smiling more than the other three. He also offered to buy Puffy a drink, but when Puffy refused politely, he looked crestfallen. As Juliette and Puffy stepped out of the roost, she nudged Puffy. " Looks like someone's got an admirer!" Puffy blushed. " He's okay, I guess." she smiled. " What was his name again...Cube?" "Yup. Listen, I'd better be going. See you tomorrow." " Bye, Juliette." " Bye, Puffy." Puffy returned to her house, and thought about what life was like back in Suntown. (Second chapter done, if that was okay tell me) The next day, Puffy started her new job at Able Sisters. A lion was there trying on dresses. " Ah, Puffy, here you are! Puffy, this is Suki, she is a regular at our shop!" " Oh, hi there!" Suki smiled. " Hi!" Puffy smiled back. She was sure she was going to like Suki. " I heard that Crazy Redd was in town." Sable said. " Who's that?" Puffy asked. " Oh. The guy in the green tent. The password this week is "so is Redd." Wanna see?" Suki took Puffy to the green tent. No answer. " That's weird..." Suki said. They entered. A black wolf was pointing a gun at Redd, and Redd had his hands up. " What the heck...?" Puffy asked. " That painting cost me 50,000 bells!" the wolf was screaming. "Matthew, don't!" cried Suki. The wolf slowly put the gun down. " Oh...hi. I'm Matthew, and I'm the protector of Neopia." " Sure..." Puffy said. Suki shrugged. " Matt can be a little...strange. At times. But he's a nice enough person once you get to know him." At that moment, there was a cape of darkness, and Puffy felt herself swirling into a black hole. " What the..." CHAPTER 3 The next morning, when Puffy stepped outside, someone covered in dirt came out from a hole in the ground. Yup, you guessed it. It was Resetti... "You!!! Hold it right there, punk? What did you do? Huh? Tell me what you did! What am I talking about, huh? Don't you play dumb with me!!! Don't you DARE!!! Before you turn the power off, SAVE! You gotta save! I KNOW you knew that! Don't even lie to me! When you power down without the following procedure...Know what happens? I get lights and sirens playin' an electric mambo at HQ!!! KINDA HARD TO MISS!" Puffy sighed. It wasn't her fault the battery had gone red! She couldn't find the charger! "...and maybe you didn't plan to do this. Maybe this is all a big misunderstandin'. Yeah, it's possible. But you know what? It don't make a whole clod of difference. Think about it, will ya? What, you wanna fix all the things that go wrong?....Of course it aint....That's the way it is, right?" Puffy's mind drifted in and out of Resetti's speech. " Aw, for the luvva dirt...What's with the face, punk? You think I need that look? You've got that how-long's-this-guy-gonna-keep-yapping-at-me face. Yeah. Well WIPE IT OFF, ingrate! You're lucky I aint MORE mad, you dirty resetter! Ah, whatever. All this tunnellin' and barkin's got me beat. I'm done with you, kid. I'm cutting you loose. But you gotta promise me, when you're done playin'...You'll SAVE when you turn the power off. Sa-ave! You got that? Oh, and before I forget, one last thing... WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER YOU GO TO THE BATHROOM! We clear? Good. Now SCRAM!" Puffy finally breathed a sigh of relief, then jumped as she faced a blue squirrel and a human with brown hair and blue eyes. " Turned the power off, huh?" the human said. " It happens to all of us. Don't worry. I'm Sammy, and this is Filbert." The blue and white squirrel lifted up a paw and smiled. " I'm Puffy." said Puffy. " Cool. Wanna come fishing with us?" Filbert asked. " I'd love to, but I don't have a fishing rod!" " You can have mine for the day." Sammy handed Puffy the rod. " Come on!" So they spent the day fishing together. Puffy was pleased. She caught a sea bass, a dab, and a barred knifejaw! At last, night fell, and Puffy headed home. " Bye, Sammy, bye Filbert!" " Bye Puffy. Make sure you save this time!" And Puffy did. A loud crash awoke Puffy. " What the..." she asked herself. She dashed out the door and saw a cat standing by a demolished house. " What happened?" she asked it. " My house got demolished by Tom Nook. Apparently "I didn't pay off my mortgage fast enough." Flippin' buisness giants!" Puffy wanted to lend a hand. " I'm Puffy. Who are you?" " Chelsi." " Right, Chelsi, we're gonna get Tom Nook back. We're going to chuck a brick through his window!" But, after scanning the village for two hours, here was not a brick in sight. The two were about to give up hope, when they saw Suki and Filbert struggling over the hill with a large piece of driftwood. " Hey, Suki, can we borrow that?" " The driftwood? Sure. I wasn't going to use it for anything in particular." With that she handed Puffy the wood. Then Puffy turned to Chelsi and asked; " Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Chelsi looked surprized. " Really? Are you thinking about Saturday's soccer match too?" " No, dolt! We can use the driftwood instead of a brick!" So, Chelsi wrote a letter to Tom Nook on a piece of paper. She wrote... " Tom Nook..Leave houses alone!!..or we will fling driftwood through your window again!!!!!!.." So, Puffy and Chelsi crept up to Tom Nook's store... Picked up the driftwood... And stopped. " Puffy, I can't. After all he's done for me. We've got to get the message across- but without violence." Puffy sat down on a rock and thought. And suddenly... A BRILLIANT IDEA. "I know! We get someone evil to come in and scare him and tell him he's going bankrupt then he will stop knocking down houses!" Chelsi smiled. " Class!" she yelled. So Puffy phoned all the evil people in town and eventually she found someone. " When is he arriving?" asked the excited Chelsi. " Soon." Puffy replied. " It's weird- I remember that voice from somewhere..." Someone stepped out the cab. " Ah...Puffy...how nice to see you again." Puffy nearly choked. " Y-y-you?" " Yes, me! Olfano is back!" and then a grey and blue salamander stepped out of the fog. (which is weird because I didn't mention it before.) Juliette came along. " Hey, Puffy! Jeez...what's up? You look like a can of whipped cream." Puffy stepped beside Juliette. " This...m-man..." quivered Puffy. " Was the man who put my dad out of buisness!" "Huh?" Juliette asked. Olfano smiled. " So...I see you have inherited your Dad's money. How interesting." " Well, yeah..." Puffy shrugged. Cube bounced up. " What's up?" he asked, and Chelsi poured out the whole story. " Cool...this is just like a movie I saw!" Olfano then produced a rope and tied Cube up. Then, before anyone could stop him, he bundled Cube away! " Leave 100,000,000 bells by the old opening in the cave by Friday or Cube gets it!" he laughed manically. Puffy blinked. " Woah..." Juliette breathed. "Never saw that coming..." Puffy frowned. " I'm not paying up so I can get that dimwit back!" she hissed. "There's got to be another way..." She sat down on a rock. " Never mind, love. Friday's not until five days. Let's all go to the roost and forget about it." But Puffy could not just relax and forget about it. Something had to be done! Puffy woke up. Four days till she had to get the money. But how??? She heard a knock at the door. It was a grey cat. " Puffy Stevenson?" " Yeah?" " I heard that you had a bit of money trouble. I'm Ellie, a loyer. I can get you 100,000,000 bells compensation claims if we win your case." 100,000,000 bells! What she needed! " Yeah!" Puffy smiled. " Sure! Come in, I'll make you a cup of tea." So Ellie carefully sat down on one of Puffy's thrones. As long as Puffy had been here, she had filled her room with 3 thrones, a golden table, a deluxe range, a Mush TV and a lovely loveseat. Just then, Puffy came in with a pot of tea on a golden tray. After a few minutes, the court case was sorted. But there was just one problem... The court was in Japan! And that would take her four days to get there! Ellie frowned. " Haven't you heard of a thing called "Concorde"?" " Ooh...hadn't thought of that. Just one problem... CONCORDE WAS MOTHBALLED IN 2002!" Ellie bit into a bun. (Don't ask me how the buns got there, I just wanted to bring them in.) " Well...buy it back!" So, luckily, Puffy bought it for a substantial 50,000 bells. And they were there! In Japan! In only 1 hour! Ellie first went to a Japanize restaurant and had a sushi mountain then noodles and more sushi for luck. Puffy had a small plate of Ramen. Ellie looked at her. " Is that ALL?"she asked, biting into a bit of sushi and getting raw fish down her dress. " I'm not very hungry." she frowned. Ellie smiled. " All the more for me!" she laughed. Ellie certainly DID NOT laugh when she saw the bill. The waitress, Rehanne, smiled. " A bit strapped?" she asked, smiling. Ellie breathed. " You can say that again!" Rehanne handed her a ten-pound note. " Here." she smiled sweetly. Her blonde hair fell over her face. " You look like you need a little kick-start!" Ellie smiled. " Thanks!" And with that, they left, Ellie swinging her briefcase, Puffy's tail bobbing. The hotel they were staying in was beautiful. Puffy loved the basin with gold gilt around the edge, but Ellie was more interested on what was on the room service menu! " Send up two bowls of Ramen, one plate of sushi, six sticks of Pocky, a plate of Toboki with a side order of seaweed, and...tell you what, another bowl of Ramen for luck." Puffy laughed. " Ellie! You just love food, don't you?" Ellie blinked, then smiled. " Diets aren't my thing, you see! So this old guy is sticking around for a long time." she patted her plump tummy. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. " Room Service!" It was the day of the court case. Puffy was wearing her beautiful kimono that Rehanne bought her. They had become fast friends with Rehanne and now they ate out every day at the restaurant. Ellie was wearing her black velvet top with black pinstripe trousers and a black suitcase. " I have a feeling this is going to be a great day!" Ellie grinned while drying her hair. Puffy smiled sweetly at the loyer. She now thought of Ellie as a friend. " Why?" she asked. " I've got my lucky omen-a real bit of quartz. My Dad gave it to me when I was just a little girl." As they made their way to the court, Puffy started to wonder... And then, she asked herself. And then, she asked Ellie. " Ellie..." Puffy asked. " What is this court case...about?" Ellie smiled. " Your Dad's buisness going bankrupt, of course." " Yeah..." Puffy felt churning inside her. She hated to have to break this to her. " ...you do know that Olfano ISN'T acctually here?" Ellie's grey, happy face suddenly turned green. " Wha...wha...wha...oh HOLY COW!!!!NO!!!! This is NOT happening!!!! It is NOT!!!" Ellie screamed and flung herself onto a bench. After a few silent minutes, Ellie chucked her quartz onto the pavement. " So much for lucky." she snorted. But then...Puffy had another BRILLIANT IDEA. "We tell the police where Olfano is, then drag him off to Japan!" Ellie blinked... picked up her quartz... and slowly let out a spectacular 10 -letter word... " yaHOOOOOOO! There's hope yet! Come on! Get that butt shifting!" So, they flew back to Neoville, called the police, who arrested Olfano, then took him to Japan. *** At last, Ellie and Puffy waited to hear those words... " We find the accused...Guilty." Ellie screeched with mirth, then flung her arms around her friend's neck and did the macerena. Puffy was presented with 100,000,000 bells and a complementary plate of Toboki, which Ellie happily polished off. Puffy insisted on thaking Rheanne home to Neoville with them. Rheanne accepted politely. When Puffy got back, Cube was standing by Puffy's house. " Cube! C'mere you big plank!" Puffy yelled, then gave him a great big hug. But then something spoiled it all... " Hello! I am still here y'know!" Puffy had forgotten completely about Chelsi. So, Puffy had to get Cube to go into Nookington's with a bin liner over his head. It still worked just as well. Withing a few moments, Puffy could see Tom Nook running over the fields with his frilly panties flapping in the breeze, screeching; " AAAAA! It's the bin-liner monster! It's coming to eat me!!! Aaaa! You can have your houses back!!! But please, don't let it get meeeeeee!" Puffy crept into the shop. "Okay, Cube, enough already!" she said. " Phew!" he sighed. " After all that, I'm hungry. Let's go to the Roost." So Ellie, Rheanne, Chelsi, Cube and Puffy went to the Roost. There was a visitor. And it was Suki. Her mascara smudged, lipstick smudged, and my god, her heart looked smudged too. " Suki..What's wrong?" Puffy ran up to hug her friend. Suki started crying. " He's only gone and fired me!" she howled. Tears dropped into her coffee. " The mayor's fired me and he's got a new P.A!" Juliette jolted. " Who?" she asked. " A guy called Eli. He's such a hard worker..." Then Suki started crying again. "Right!" Puffy shouted. "I can't stand this a moment longer. I'm going there right now!" There was Eli, sitting at his desk, the mayor opposite him. " Hey, Tortillini, mind if I go out for a fag?" " Oh, no problem, Eli, do what you wish..." So, Eli made his way to the door...and there was puffy. She grinded her teeth. " Mind if I slip out here and..." A sharp slap soon woke Eli, and Puffy barged past to the Mayor. Eli grabbed her by the neck. Puffy kicked him right in the "Davina Mcall"s. Eli doubled up. " You little bitc..." A blow to the back of the head soon sorted that out. Eli bolted out the doorway. Pelly came running. " Good grief! You vandals!" she shook her fist at the group. " I'm gonna get you done for that! I am giving you ten seconds to run away. 10...9...8..." " C'mon. It's not worth it." Puffy ordered them. Then she saw Eli again. He was coming out of Crazy Redds, holding something enormous under his jacket. " Hello, hello?" Puffy asked herself. Chelsi had an idea. She signalled to the others to follow her. They watched Eli slip round to the back of the town hall... Look around cautiously... Then... Laid some TNT down just where it could blow up the hall, then ran away! " Hey, he's forgotten his TNT!" Cube whispered noisily to Ellie. " Should I tell him? EL-I! EL-I!" Ellie shut him up. " No, idiot! That's gonna blow up the town hall!" Puffy ran up. It was almost about to explode! She ran in and fell on top of the mayor. "Get down!" she cried! She waited for the explosion. Nothing. Just a faint boom. Eli looked surprized. " What the..." Puffy asked herself. She went to investigate. There was a very charred Nookington's. Cube was looking pleased with himself. "Cube...Explain to me, very slowly, and VERY clearly, why Nookington's is blown up." " Well, the TNT was about to explode, so I threw it away..." Puffy sighed and held her head in her hands. Bringing out a phone, she dialled a number; " Hey. Chief...Hey, not bad. How are you? Good, listen, send up one bucket of tarmac, two tonnes of bricks, and...well, I've been busy, I haven't been able to get in touch...look, Cheif, enough of the yap, send over what I asked for or I'll sue you." Tom Nook ran up to Cube and hit him on the head with a sledgehammer. " That ain't gonna help matters." Puffy told him. " We can rebuild it. The town can do without a conveniance store for a few...days...OHMIGOD! The hair salon! It's not there!" Puffy broke down. " IT'S NOT THERE!!!" But, over the horizon came Cheif in a digger. Puffy smiled and fluffed her tail up. Cube looked at her, then frowned at Cheif. Was he...no. Puffy LOVED him...didn't she? " Hey, Cheif! Good to see you!" squealed Puffy, kissing him on the cheek. Cube began to look like this: " Hey, sweetie! I bought the stuff! Look, I even bought you some flowers. I'm sorry, sweetie." Chief hugged her apoligetically. Puffy frowned. " Well, how was I supposed to run the house by myself?" asked Puffy. But then she softened and put her arm around Cheif's shoulder. Cube was beginning to hatch a plan. And you will find out what it is...in the next chapter!!! He took a photo of Chief and Puffy hugging. Then he wrote under it: " Break up with Cheif or your boyfriend sees these!!!" Then he went to the town hall and posted them. He saw Eli again. And there was something big and red.... But it was only a packet of chocolate digestives. Once outside, Cube saw Puffy helping Cheif into her house with boxes. " Oh, Cube!" she smiled at him. " Erm...Chief's moving in! Won't it be fun? Just Chief and me..." Then Chief kissed her again. Cube slapped his fist into his hand. *** Next day, Puffy woke up. She woke up Chief, gave him a hug, then went outside. " Ooh! Chief, there's mail!" she shouted. Then she saw the picture and the note. " What the..." she asked herself. " Chief, just nipping round to Cube's!" " I'll come with you, sweetie!" So, in Cube's house, Cube was listening to K.K. Technopop when Puffy and Chief arrived. " So?" asked Cube. Puffy looked at the photo. " Yeah, Cube...this was weird...why did you send us these?" " WELL, COME ON, IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT HE'S YOUR BOYFRIEND!" screamed Cube. Puffy laughed. " Boyfriend?" she giggled. " Oh, Cube...NO, honey!" She gave Cube a hug. " Chief's my BROTHER! Sweetie is my family name! We looked after mum for a while because she was getting terribly terribly ill. He's my big brother, he just wants to protect me, that's all!" Cube felt sheepish. He gave Cheif his copy of K.K Bossa as a "sorry.". Chief smiled. Then frowned. " If you hurt her..." he growled. "I'll kill you." Puffy sneered. " Oh, c'mon, hun, he wouldn't lay a finger! Come on. I've got a treat for you!" And Puffy led Cheif to another mansion, but, unlike Puffy's, it had potted plants outside and a pink roof. Puffy rapped on the door. A black cat with white paws answered. " Hey, Star! It's Puffy!" " Oh! Hi there. Come in. I'm just unloading some furniture." They stepped inside the house, fresh and new and smelling of paint. " I was wondering if you had any friends for Chief." Puffy squealed, tripping over a box. "Hmmm...let's see...exotic dancers, waitresses, Ah! Air stewardesses! Here we are!" she handed Chief her phonebook. He looked shocked. " Erm...she looks pretty nice." He pointed to a little white pig. " Lucy? Oh, not your type, love. How about Charlene, or..." " No. LUCY, please." So Star rang up lucy... and she said "No! No! I've got a boyfrfiend!" then slammed down the phone. Then the door opened. " Hello! Only me!" smiled Rheanne. " Oh...have I missed something?" Rheanne asked. A sly smile appeared on Puffy's face. She had a great idea. She told Chelsi. " I'm going to get Cheif and Rheanne together!" she smiled. Chelsi frowned. " Are you sure that's a good idea?" she asked. " Rheanne might not like Cheif." Puffy headed off to Nook's shop with a happy cry of " If she's good enough for me, she's good enough for my brother!" So Puffy ran to the shop and brought a pine table, two pine seats, a tablecloth, a candle, cutlery and a lesanga ready-meal. Then she rushed to her house and wrote invitations. " Dear Cheif," she wrote, " Come to my house, front room, 6:00. Be there!" Then she wrote Rheanne's invitation, saying mostly the same thing. Then, Puffy set the table. It looked so pretty, and Puffy wished it was her and Cube sitting there. But, she had done this out of the goodness of her heart, so she might as well settle for it. She heard a turn of a key. Rheanne! Without thinking, she slipped under the table and pulled the tablecloth to the ground. " Hello? Puffy? It's Ellie. You said you had something to talk about?" Puffy cursed herself. That damn post office! Next time she would deliver it herself. Ellie made a surprised noise, then sat down and started to tuck in to the lasanga. She was halfway through, when Cheif came in. He gasped. " Ellie! I didn't know..." Ellie wiped her mouth. " This wasn't me! This was...well...I don't know. Come on. You may as wll tuck in." " No!" screamed Puffy under her breath. " No, Cheif! Don't sit down! Don't...fizz!" And Puffy's swear words grew stronger and stronger as Cheif and Ellie laughed and smiled. Finally, it was time to leave. " Cheif, even though you didn't do this, this really was...lovely." " Yeah." " Bye." " Bye...oh, Ellie?" " Yes?" Then, Puffy could only watch in agony as a smacking noise could be heard in the darkness. The next day, Chief brought Puffy breakfast in bed. Puffy smiled, dazed and tiered. " Hey, Puffy, how'ds my aftershave smell?" he asked. Puffy frowned. " Err...fine...why did you want to know?" " Oh, well, Ellie's meeting up with me in the Roost tonight. Said I could bring a few mates. You coming?" Puffy sighed. " Yeah, I suppose." she sighed. Then, she resolved to bring Rheanne and Cube. Then, Puffy ran to Cube's house to tell him everything. He was putting on a tuxedo. He thought, " We should just come. For the snacks, you know." So, that night, the group had coffees. Ellie suddenly sprang up from her seat. " Me an' Chief have some news!" she smiled. " Oh...Ellie...not now..." Chief hissed, but Ellie giggled. " Chief wants to marry me!" she giggled. Rheanne sighed. If only she was in Ellie's place. " I said no, of course." she shrugged. " I mean, Atti would hardly be ready to make all the arrangements! But...propose another time, Cheif!" Chief smirked. Then, he looked horrified... " Atti???" he asked. " Who's he?" Ellie smiled. " My brother." she explained. " Hey...I haven't had a court case in a while. Wonder what I could sue Nook for?" Then, an icy breeze blew into the door. Puffy froze. " Ah...Puffy...here you are again..." " Oh heck, not you!" Puffy groaned. Chief recodnized the face immediately. He punched him in the gob and wrestled him to the ground. Then he kicked him. Then he kicked him again. " Stay- (kick)-away- (kick)-from- (kick)-my- (kick)-sister! (kick, kick.)" he shouted. Then, Rheanne noticed something. " He's crying." she pointed out. The man (who you probably guessed by now was Olfano) had tears streaming down his face. Rheanne helped him up. Puffy was tensed for him to spring out and grab her, but he didn't. He sat quietly and sipped the coffee Rheanne had brought him. Rheanne comforted him quietly as he told his story. " I changed, so escaped. I'm changed now. I just..." Olfano began crying again. Rheanne wanted to take him to her house. But, as they left, Olfano looked at Puffy with an evil grin. She grabbed Ellie's arm. " I...I saw a look in his eyes just then...it was evil..." Ellie smiled. " Yeah, right!" she smirked. " Next you'll be telling me he's an escaped convict and...oh...wait...he is an escaped convict..." She leaned over to hug Chief and left Puffy on her own to think. Puffy had nothing better to do, so she wandered off to Star's house. She stepped in and a crowd of people were in a circle around the room. There was Star, Suki, Matthew and Cube, each holding a book in their hand called " Easy Cooking For Beginners.". " What the..." Puffy asked herself. Cube waved madly and patted a seat beside him. Star smiled. " Welcome, Puffy!" she beamed. " Welcome to my Reading Club! Please, have a seat. The buffet will begin in a quarter of an hour. Come on, come on!" She almost pushed Puffy into a seat beside Cube and regained her position at the chair. " Now, Cube dear, please carry on your review of your chosen book." Cube smiled and stood up. It has secret sauces...well...I guess they're not secret anymore! And they're DELICIOUS...if you make them properly!" With that, everyone clapped. Puffy guessed she had to join them. Star smiled. " What was your highlight of the book, Cube?" she asked. " The ragu on page 293 was delicious, but I liked the swedish sausage better!" Then he coughed. " But I...er...shared it with the book as well...I got some mustard on page 93- the christmas pudding recipe." Then she smiled. " Thank you Cube. There will now be a short giving out on Suki's chosen book, " The golden wing."." Suki smiled as she handed Puffy her copy. " You'll like it." she smiled. " It's about a brave young girl called Charmain who goes to rescue the golden wing for her sick father." Puffy thanked her and got started. " The wind blew cold on Charmain's threadbare shawl. It was a cold day and there was no blackberries this day. But then, it was winter." Puffy put her book away as she heard a large scream. Matt and Star rushed out the door and Suki and Puffy and Suki followed. Rheanne was being dragged into Olfano's car and being driven away. Puffy sank her teeth into her bottom lip. Cube came out the door. " You know, Puffy, in times like these, the only thing that helps is some veggie bolognaise." Puffy ran to Ellie's house. There was Ellie and Chief sitting together with another cat which must have been Atti, her brother. " Ellie, Chief, Olfano's dragging Rheanne into his porche and kidnapping her and I don't know where he's taking her I need a court case ASAP, Ellie, whadamIgonnado?" Ellie smiled. " I'll need to get my papers sorted. Have a read while you wait." Puffy nervously got her book out and started to read. " [i] "Father, I'm home." " Good, good, Charmain." " There were no blackberries today, father. I got a mushroom, though." " No, no, It's all right. Let me taste it." Charmain didn't understand that the mushroom was poisionous. Her father hit the ground. Charmain sped forward, but it was too late. " Father!" " Charmain...to get better I will need...the golden wing.[/i]" Just then, Ellie came through paniking. " MY PAPERS ARE GONE!!!" " What?" asked Puffy. " You heard!" she screamed. "Without these, I'll never be able to have a court case...again!" Just then, Matthew came in. " What's the problem?" he asked. Puffy explained the whole story in one big, long breath. Matthew scratched his head. " Let's see...I used to be a lawyer..." he smiled. " I will need a fee of course...a minimum of...999,999,999 bells." Puffy's jaw fell to the floor (like in cartoons.) " We could pay Olfano with that money!" she screamed at him. " Well, we're saving Cube, and personally, I hate that guy." Puffy sighed. " We're not saving Cube, that was ages ago!" " Was it?" " Yes!" Puffy got her copy of the Animal Crossing Book out of her bag. " See, here: "The court was in Japan! And that would take her four days to get there!" Haven't you been reading this thing?" Matthew got his copy out. " Yeah...and...Oh dear god, It's Rheanne? Quick! Police! Ambulance! Operator! Gimmie the number for 999!" Puffy packed her suitcases excitedly. They were off to Japan again! Ellie gawped at her. " What's your game?" asked Matthew. " The court case in Japan..." Puffy started. Ellie breathed. " My papers entiteled me to abroud court cases. No papers- no holiday." Puffy raised her eyebrows. " Sooo...we're having it HERE. In Neoville?" Matthew got out a tuxedo. " Well...It's the only way..." " There's no court of law in Neoville." " You're brother...are you forgetting his occupation?" " Well, yeah, he's a builder...but didn't he retire to be with Ellie?" Ellie smiled. " Your brother is so sweet..." she gushed. Puffy...well...puffed. " Not so much when I was 9 and he was pulling my tail and ripping the heads off my "Strawberry Shortcake" dolls." she smirked. Puffy called Chief who got to work on a court of law. Ellie helped him as much as she could. So did Puffy. So did Star. So did Cube. So did Matthew. So did Suki. Finally, it was finished. " Whew!" Chief smiled. " It's all done!" Ellie cried. " With the help of my special big girl!" he smiled. Puffy turned away and stuck her finger down her throat. Cube sighed. " Puffy, why aren't we like that..." Cube asked. Puffy elbowed him. " We don't HAVE to be like that. We can be...different." Cube got down on one knee. " Good 'cause...Do you wanna marry me? I found a ring somewhere. It's a bit small, but..." Puffy shook her head at loveable Cube. It was a TOE ring, but she didn't let on. She was prepared to bear excruciating pain and possible blood loss for her boyfriend. " Sure, sure!" Puffy hugged him. Then laughed. " Not very romantic, though- a builders site!" Cube shrugged and tried to fit the ring onto Puffy's ring finger. It only got as far as just below her nail. Then he tried her middle one. It sat like a top hat on it. " That's weird..." Cube said, puzzled. Puffy giggled. She always did that when she was excited. Cube tried Puffy's thumb and index finger, and, at last, her pinkie. It fitted snugly there. It looked quite strange, but Puffy loved Cube so much that she couldn't bear to tell him. Just then, there was a figure on the horizon. It was Rheanne, hand in hand with Rasher! " Rheanne?" " Yeah...I don't need a court case...Rasher rescued me! Bye, y'all!" Chief suddenly siezed Rasher and Rheanne and dragged them over to where Matthew stood. " YOU CAN'T JUST WALK AWAY!" he screamed. "WE EVEN BUILT A COURT OF LAW!!!" Rheanne looked surprized. " Rheanne! We'll need to hurry up if we wanna catch this flight to Barcelona. The plane leaves at five!" Rasher called. Rheanne signalled to him and made a well-what-can-I-DO? face, then sped away. " I'll never forget any of you!" she called, then they were gone. Chief looked at the court of law. " We need a case. Someone murder sombody, here!" Just then, a guy stepped out of the shadows. " Maybe I can help." " What's your name?" " Eli." " Eli?" Puffy looked shocked. " What are you doing here?" Eli rolled his eyes. " I LIVE here." " Oh..." " Hey...eh...could you give these to Lelia?" Puffy looked around. The others shrugged. " Who's...that?" " She lives on the hill. Should be singing. You can hear her a mile away. Can't miss her." Eli then handed her a box of chocolates. Cube's eyes lit up, but Puffy frowned. " Why can't YOU do it?" " I've got...things...to take care of." Cube shook her. " Come on, Puffy! Pleeeeese! Pretty please? Pretty please with an iced bun and a cherry and sugar on top?" Puffy sighed, then set on her way with Cube. Cube smiled. " Hey...Puffy...you think Eli would notice if I, say...TOOK a chocolate? You know...as a...[/i]sustainment[i]?" Puffy handed the box to him. Cube gave a cry of joy, and started to rip the top off. He took two big white moca ones, and handed one to Puffy. She grinned. Cube stuffed it into his mouth. " Puffy...do you think I could...you know...one more wouldn't...hurt?" Cube asked. " They're not my chocolates!" Puffy shrugged. Suddenly, a beautiful sound could be heard from the top of the hill. " We're here!" said Puffy. There was a sheer rock climb to the house on the hill, and Puffy faced it easily. Cube, however, found it a struggle. " Puffy! My foot's got caught in between two rocks!" " Puffy! I can't find a rock to put my foot on!" " Puffy!...I need the loo!" Finally, they were there. After Cube's struggle, Puffy let him take another chocolate, then found, to her horror, that there were only five left. " Cube! How many of those did you take?" asked Puffy. " Erm...well it was a box of twenty so...about 15? Oh, and I kinda bit into the marzipan surprize then left it...I didn't like it." Puffy sighed. How can you get angry at someone like Cube? She rapped to the knocker and listened to the beautiful sound. After a while, still no answer. Cube rapped again. Still no answer. " I think it's because she's singing." Puffy suggested. So they found an open window to climb through (Cube had to stay outside, he was too fat). Puffy saw a pretty tiger, orange and black, singing hert heart out. Then she heard a high-pitch scream that made her eardrums burst. " What are you doing here?" she shouted, and grabbed her music stand. Puffy held out her hands. " It's okay, I'm Puffy, and this is Cube;" she signalled to the window. Cube waved madly from outside. " Eli brought you these." Lelia squealed and ran to the box. Then her face fell. " Hm. Well. Five chocolates. He was always greedy." Then she saw Cube. " Is that...chocolate around your mouth?" Puffy quickly changed the subject. " So...Eli...you know him?" Lelia sighed. " Let me tell you all about it..." " Me and Eli were college mates. We always went around together because no-one really liked us. So, one day, Eli decided to climb to the top of the college roof to see for miles. I thought it was alright, I like high places. So we climbed several floors and broke several rules, all to get up on that big glass top roof and see what we could see. It was up there that I really got into singing, and sung for possibly hours on that roof. Eli, however, was more interested in trying to top himself." Puffy looked shocked. " Joking!" Lelia smiled." Anyway, that's what I thought he was trying to do sometimes. He would lean right over the edge of the metal railings and wave to the tiny " ants". He would even go right over and hook his feet between the bars. I sometimes got sick looking at him. I never was though. Back on subject...So it was up there that one day, he fell." Cube's eyes opened wide. " This time, it's not a joke." Lelia was deadly serious. " It was a gusty day, so I sang my songs holding on to the bars. Eli, however, didn't seem to notice the wind, and stood right at the bars. One minute he was there, I turned round, looked back and...couldn't see him. I looke down and there was a cluster of people all crowded around him. Luckily, I think he wasn't severely injured, but he had to have a heart transplant, and there were no donors so his heart was made of metal. He was angry at everyone ever since. Some people said he had a heart of glass, but not..." She stopped. Puffy looked up but her eyes were dry. "...not my Eli. I always know he has a heart of gold." Puffy realized. That's why he wanted to blow up the town hall! But then, she looked shocked... " But Eli said he had buisness to take care of..." Lelia frowned. " You know it's going to be bad, right?" Puffy, Cube and Lelia all rushed outside to get back to Neoville, but Puffy had forgotten about the rock climb. " What'll we do?" Puffy asked herself. Cube looked at Lelia for help. She seemed perfectly calm and composed. "Well?" Puffy shouted. " DO SOMETHING!!!" Lelia suddenly smiled. A loud ripping noise was approaching them. " What the..." asked Puffy. Suddenly, a large cable car drifted through the trees. Cube cried with joy and leapt in. Lelia followed, then Puffy. Slowly but surely, the little car began making its way through the forest and down the hill. Puffy gritted her teeth in agony. " This is taking ages!" she groaned. Lelia frowned. " Some people are never pleased!" she tutted. Cube suddenly began waving wildly at the ground below them. " It's Neoville at last!" Lelia looked out of the door and saw Neoville, it's lights glistening like stars. " It's beautiful. I'd never thought the city would be this nice." she smiled. As the car came to a hault, there was a cluster of police and sirens and Star, Matthew and Suki were giving statements. Puffy looked round. Cube sighed. " I know what you're gonna say..." " Mm?" " What the...." " Yeah." So Puffy said " What the..." and ran up to Star who was stammering wildly giving a statement to the police. " I w-was g-g-giving out the ch-ch-chosen book f-for the b-b-book c-club, when all of a s-s-sudden, there w-was a t-teriffic explosion. I d-didn't k-know quite w-what had h-h-happened. One minute we were there, and one m-minute...w-we were...we w-were..." Star suddenly broke down into Cubes arms. Puffy ran to the policeman. " That Eli's been blowing things up again." he explained. Lelia suddenly jolted. " Eli?" she asked. " Where? What have you done with him? I need to see him!" With that she ran to a nearby police van, where Eli was. " Eli?" " Lelia...what are you doing here?" " Looking for you...for heaven's sake, Eli, what've you gone and done? Eh?" " Lelia...you were like my life support. Without you there at college, I'd have gone and done..." " All sorts of silly things!" Lelia sighed. " Well, I'm not leaving you now, mate. For now, you're coming home with me! We can be flatmates!" But, try as Lelia might, she could not get the police to budge from their decision from sending Eli to jail. Until Suki cried out; " Look, why not send them BOTH to jail?" Lelia shrugged and climbed in the police car. But the policeman shook his head. " Lelia hasn't done anything wrong. We can't send her to jail!" Lelia suddenly let out a massive blow to the policeman's head. " I have now!" she grinned, and climbed in the car with her best friend. As they were being driven away, Puffy yelled " Write lots!". Just then, and ambulance arrived. Puffy's mouth fell open. " That's Ellie's house..." Puffy ran up to Cheif. " What's up?" she asked. " Ellie's pregnant." he sighed. " What the..." Puffy asked. She rushed inside to the house. Ellie was holding two baby wolves and one baby kitten in her arms. Puffy squealed, and ran up to Ellie. " Hi, Ellie!" she exclaimed. " Woah...they're so adorable!" Ellie smiled, looking exhausted. " That little brown wolf is a boy, and the grey wolf and the grey and brown cat are girls." she explained. Puffy smiled. Cheif came rushing in. " Ellie! I have...eh...*one, two* three kids!" Ellie gave Chief a big hug. Puffy suddenly realized. " I'm an auntie!" she cried with joy. She looked at Cube, wondering if he would twig. He certainly had no problem doing so. " Yay! *A-ha, woo-hoo. I'm an uncle, woo-hoo.*" Cheif held up the little grey wolf in his arms, then said " Well, I think this one looks like a..." he glanced at his sister. "...Puffy." Cheif's sister looked shocked. " You...you're gonna name her...after ME?" she asked. Ellie smiled. Then Puffy hugged Chief and Ellie in turn, and got handed her niece. Then, they decided to name the other two babies. The little kitten was called Maxine, and the boy wolf's name was Sean. And then, Chief did something even more magical. " Will you marry me Ellie?" he asked. Ellie smiled. " Of course!" she grinned, then began to cry. Puffy smiled at Cube, and he gave Chief a "thumbs up.". The next day, Puffy got two letters. One was from Barcelona, the other was from west Neoville county jail. The postcard read, "Hi Puffy! Doing great, hope you are too! Miss u much, but I told you we'd write! Life with Rasher is lovely. We got married yesterday, it was great. We held the wedding on the beach, and I had it with one of my best friends, Courtney. She was a waitress back in Japan. Do you remember that? Talking of Japan, I do hope Ellie is alright too! And Chief! Did they get married in the end? I digress... So, we had a double wedding, she was getting married to someone called Biskit. I wish, wish, wish, Puffy, that you could have been there. It was the happiest day of my life, but with you, it would have been even happier. Hopefully you and some of your mates could gome visit us some day. Till then, I hope you are doing great. Lots of hugs and luck, Rheanne and Rasher." " Awww..." Puffy smiled, then opened up the one from jail. She could guess who it was from straight away. "Hey, whoever's reading this! I sent it to Puffy's house, but loads of people live there; Chief, Cube, Ellie...well, I think! Life's alright here in county jail. Eli kept saying, " I'll get ya outa here, Lelia.". He's got a gun, acctually, he took it out of the guard's pocket when he was asleep! Only he says he plans to use it in emergencies. Hm. Food's nothing to shout about, we get steak an' chips mostly every day, or sometimes, for a special treat, we get spaghetti- and it's done al dente! Oh, hold on. This is Eli. Hey guys. You know, I think I'm kinda cured now! Lelia really is my lifeline. But I'm still stuck that we're gonna get outa here at one point. Did Lelia tell you about my gun? It's great having one. You feel a sense of...power...... Anyway, I kinda wanna say sorry, for all the trouble I've caused. But hey, now that you know my story, maybe you won't be quite so angry! Here's Lelia. Bye! Puffy put away both letters sadly, then went to see Cube, who was making a cheese, pickle and liver sandwich. Puffy sat down. " So...I thought we could start planning our wedding today." Cube simply replied; " Can't talk. Eating." Puffy grinned, then answered the door to Chief and Ellie, who was pushing a pram with the two wolves in it. Chief was holding Maxine. " Puffy, I had a great idea!" she grinned while being led through to the kichen. " We could have a double wedding!" Puffy looked surprised. " That's great!" she beamed. Cube then noticed them. " Mornin'!" he smiled. " Last night I had a dream that I said mornin' to you, d-d-dudes! Want a bite of my cheese pickle and liver sandwich?" Ellie declined politely. So did Chief. Ellie sat down. " Right. I had a look at some dresses. I think I'd look marvellous in that peach one." she pointed to a beautiful peach dress. It had a silk underskirt and white beads sewn up and down the delicate top. Puffy agreed by nodding her head rapidly. She, however, set her heart on a silken white one, an average bride's dress! She and Ellie both agreed on tuxedos and top hats for both Chief and Cube, who, all this time, had been chatting while eating a delicious sea bass pate from Cube's "Easy Cooking for Beginners!". Ellie wrote down a list of all who she wanted to invite, so did Puffy. After a while, they both agreed; " So, we're inviting our mums and dads, Star, Matthew, Suki, Rheanne, Rasher, and Chelsi, right?" Ellie agreed. " I just wish Eli and Lelia could be here." Puffy sighed. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. And there, to her shock and surprize, were Eli and Lelia!!! Lelia made a "hide us!!!" face, so Puffy ushered them under an underground hatch which she and Ellie moved the sofa over then sat down on it. Within a matter of minutes, the police burst through the door. " We have a right to search this house! Don't anybody move!" Puffy grinned. " I've no intention of moving." she smiled, and continued to poar through bridal magazines. The police questioned Cube. " Anything to declare?" " Well...I'm hungry. D-d-dude." " What about you, sir?" he pointed to Chief. " I just ate a sea bass pate." " There's nothing here. Let's go, boys!" With that, the police ran out the door. " You can come out now!" Puffy whispered. " Oh, how can we ever thank you?" Lelia asked. " Well, there is one way..." Puffy grinned. "You can...come to the wedding!" Eli and Lelia smiled. " That'd be fun." Eli told Lelia. " And Lelia's getting a new home- it's front of the house is going to be built in to the cave at the waterfall." Puffy congradulated both of them, then saw Chief and Ellie out. " Bye! Hope the bunny's good to you!" Cube smiled at the kids. " Talking of bunnies..." Puffy smiled, then handed Cube a massive lint bunny. He looked at her in shock. " It's all yours!" Puffy smiled. " But, you can't open it till tomorrow!" So, Cube and Puffy decided to go to sleep, and wait for easter... The day had come! As soon as he woke up, Cube rushed downstairs to open his giant bunny. As he was munching, Ellie, Chief, Puffy, Sean and Maxine came over. " Hi!" Ellie smiled, and presented Puffy with a big easter egg. Puffy handed her one that she had bought. " We handed out the invitations!" she smiled. Then, they all swapped their easter eggs. " Why don't we have an easter egg cram -'em - down- your-mouth game?" Cube asked. Puffy thought this was a great idea. So they did. " Ready..." Puffy started. " Set...off we go!" Their jaws began moving rapidly as they chomped down their eggs. Cube won in the end, and won another Easter egg. He was delighted, and shared it with everyone. Then, there was a knock at the door. It was Star with another Easter egg! She had an idea of an egg and spoon race. Chief grinned. He sneakily got out a pritt-stick and glued his spoon. Then he stuck the egg on top of it. " 1...2...3...GO!" smiled Ellie, who wasn't taking part. Chief sped ahead, in front of all the others. Cube was in second place, painstakingly putting one foot after another in case the egg might drop. Chief crossed the finish line. First! " Oh, yeah!" he smiled- and thrust his spoon in the air. Puffy looked horrified as the spoon didn't budge. " CHIEF!!!" she cried. " You cheat!" " Sorry!" he smiled. " Couldn't resist!" " Here, Cube." Star smiled. " You can have the prize." And she handed him another easter egg. It had been a great day, and as they headed home, Pufy's phone rang. She then looked really disappointed. " Rasher and Rheanne won't be able to come!" she frowned. " Why?" asked Chief. " Well..." " Well their flight was delayed by a freak hurricane. That's all they said." Puffy said. Then they saw two people with fishing rods bobbing in the distance. It was Sammy and Filbert! "Hello!" smiled Puffy. " Where have you been?" Sammy ran up to her and grabbed her by the paws. " You need to pack your most prized posessions. You've got 24 hours to move houses or they will kill you!" he gabbled. Filbert grabbed Sammy by the shoulders and shook him. " Calm- down- Sammy- just- calm- down- mate!" he jiggled him. Then he explained what he heard to Puffy in more detail. " This guy...a grey and blue salamander, I didn't catch his name- wants you out of the village. He wants to bulldoze your house and build an enterprize there." There was a silence. " Or he's going to kill you." Filbert gasped. Puffy sighed. Olfano! " Where are we going to move?" asked Ellie in panic. " What about the wedding? What about everything? What about the kids?" She broke down and cried. " Think of the kids!" Puffy started crying. The kid Puffy, I mean. Puffy sat down on a rock to think. Then, she had another one of those BRILLIANT IDEAS she always has when Ellie's around... " I might move in to Leila's old house on the hill for the time being. I'll pack my stuff. Cube..." He looked up. " I'm coming with you, Puffy!" he smiled bravely. A weeping Ellie handed Puffy Maxine. " Take good care of her." Ellie said to Puffy. " May all your dreams come true up there!" After much heartfelt goodbyes, Sammy, Filbert, Cube, Puffy baby kitten Maxine and a very large suitcase all climbed into the cable car. When they reached the hill, Puffy inhaled the fresh air. She could see quiet, bustling Neoville far below her. Baby Maxine grizzled and Puffy held her close. Their new life on the hill had begun! " I hope you'll be alright up here." Filbert said to them. " We'll come up here every day and bring you food. There's a bramble patch near here for blackberries-" Cube licked his lips. "-a quiet stream on the other side of the hill for fish and some fruit trees in the forest." He shook Cube's hand, gave Puffy a hug, and gave little baby Maxine a kiss. " Well, good luck!" The cable car started down the hill and Cube and Puffy started unpacking in their new home. It was quite cold, and since there was only Lelia's old furnature left, it was quite hard getting used to them. " I feel awfully guilty using Lelia's cooker. It looks so new and clean." Puffy set the table and laid down two plates of salmon with an orange quarter and blackberries. Cube started tucking in. Suddenly, they heard a CRASH!... The whole house shook and Puffy rushed to the cabinet and grabbed her mobile. She phoned Chief. " What the hell's happening?" she asked. " That's your house being knocked down." he explained. "How's Maxine? Remember- one bottle of warm milk each night, as much milk as she needs each day, baby food each dinnertime..." " Yes, I know, Cheif, thank you so much, darling, lol to everyone, bye-ee!" Puffy decided to go fishing. So she told Cube and set off down the back of the hill. She came across an apple tree. " Yum." she sighed. " You never get apples in Neoville." She put two in her bag and ate one. Puffy soon came across the stream, and settled down. She laid down her mat and cast her line out. She looked up... and saw a man on the other side of the river. He had black, wavy hair and a black shirt and he looked very upset. " Hey!" Puffy called. The man looked up, then sighed again. Puffy started to wade through the water in her wellies. When she reached the other side, she sat beside the man. " Hi! I'm Puffy." Puffy smiled. ... " ...What's your name?" The man felt a tug on his line and pulled in sadly. Popping the fish in his jar, he said " Johnny." " What's up?" asked Puffy. Johnny sighed again. " I hope I can trust you. Here we go..." He threw his line out again. " It was just a normal day...I thought it was really nice weather for writing, so I took a notebook outside to see if I could see anything that'd give me inspiration for stories." Johnny sighed again. " And did you?" Puffy asked. " She was as inspirational to me as to my story." As Puffy felt a tug on her line, she reeled it in, to find it was a horse mackerel. " She was out with friends," he explained. " And her golden hair was so beautiful that I had a hard time finding out which was the sunshine and which was Amanda." Puffy listened understandingly. " Amanda?" she asked him. " Was that her name? That's a pretty name." Johnny smiled. " She was a very pretty girl." he sighed. " I never talked to her...I'm too shy...but I heard one of her friends calling; " Hey, Amanda, I'm off to Starbucks. Coming?" And I thought " I wish I could be going with her."" Puffy, so touched by this story, decided to help him out. " Have you got a house?" she asked. He grinned. " I'm not that desperate." he smiled. " I own a comic book store. It sells gothic comics. Are you interested in Gothic comics at all?" Puffy smiled and shook her head. " So...do you have a house?" Johnny asked. Puffy sighed. " Not any more." she smiled sadly. " But I am staying in my friend's old house for the time being." " Why?" Puffy explained her story. Johnny seemed to understand, as if he knew all about it. He reeled in his line one more time and found out he had caught... " A loach." he sighed, and popped it in his jar. " It's all I've caught today." He asked Puffy where she lived. " I used to live in Neoville," she explained. " But for the time being, I'm living on the outskirts. Where are you from?" " Tetristown." he explained. " Never heard of that place." Puffy thought. " It's quite quiet...It has a butcher's, a bakers, a grocers, a starbucks, a clothes shop called " Time to fly!" and my comic book store. It also has a fishmongers, but I like to catch my own fish." Puffy smiled. " You must come to have dinner with us today." Puffy smiled, and took him up the hill. She explained about her boyfriend Cube, and Maxine, and by the end of the journey, it looked as if Johnny couldn't wait to get to their house. " Cube!" Puffy called. " This is Johnny." Puffy explained to Cube that Johnny was having a bit of a problem with his lovelife, and that it was okay if he could join us for dinner. Cube smiled at Johnny. He certainly didn't have a problem with him joining them. Just then, there was a knock on the door. It was Filbert and Sammy. " Hi!" they greeted Puffy with a kiss on the cheek. " How's life up here?" " Going swell!" Puffy gestured to the cosy house. She then explained about Johnny and Filbert understood. He then told Sammy to " Fetch the basket." and Sammy came back minutes later with a bulging wicker basket full of food from the villagers. " Oh!" tears pricked Puffy's eyes. " You're all such wonderful friends!" Cube gave Puffy a hug and Filbert explained the goodies that were in there. " There's honey and bread from Matthew, a nice leg of lamb from Suki, teabags and cookies from Star, flowers and fish from Julliette, pasta and tomato sauce from Quack, cerial, milk and peaches from Leila and Eli, special Spanish sweets shipped in by Rasher and Rheanne, Chelsi sent lemons, lettuce and turnips and Chief and Ellie send six pots of baby food, sushi, ramen, pocky and Ellie's home-made rasberry jelly." Sammy laid the basket on the table. " Oh, and we gave you a box of chocolates and some turkish coffee." Then, Sammy and Filbert said their goodbyes and Puffy was left with Cube, Maxine and Johnny. After a large dinner of pasta and tomato sauce with sushi and cookies and turkish coffee for afters, Puffy gave Johnny a bed for the night as there was a storm and large flashes of lightning were erupting outside. " Huh...." Johnny sighed. Puffy looked up from her morning paper. " What's wrong?" " I can't stop thinking about Amanda...her hair was a beautiful blonde...and her skin was rose pink...she almost looked like a battenburg cake..." Cube nearly burst out laughing until Puffy shot him a glance as cold as ice. " Come on." Puffy said. " Let's go see Amanda." So, Johnny showed them the way to go. Puffy had to take Maxine in her pram as Cube insisted on seeing the "battenburg cake.". " Just over the stream, and over the hill, and we're there." Johnny pointed out. Puffy looked up and she saw the golden sun setting above the hill. Over the hill was Tetristown... " Woah...THAT is small." Puffy looked up. It was almost eggaeraturated- you could see the small lane of houses and the fishmonger and butcher's was clearly visible. Johnny smiled. Cube sniffed in the air. " Oooh! Puffy! Puffy! There's a candyfloss stall! I can smell candyfloss! And hot dogs! And...Oh, Puffy, it's a fairground!" Puffy smelt the smells and headed off it that direction. Off they went to the fair! As they entered the fair, Cube immediantly ran up to the candyfloss stall and bought three sticks of candyfloss. " Thanks, Cube!" Puffy smiled and reached out. Cube looked puzzled. " What?" he asked. " All I did was buy myself some candyflosses." Puffy sighed, then turned to the Big Wheel. "Lets go on that, Johnny." she said to him. Cube shuddered. " I better not, Puffy. A big wheel after candyfloss-not a good mix!" So Puffy and Johnny went on the Big Wheel. They crammed in to a carriage and up, up they went! They were just enjoying the sights, when " THERE SHE IS!" Johnny pointed to a bouncy, happy girl with blonde hair. She was merely a dot, but Johnny recodnised her straight away. " It's Amanda! Down there, Puffy!" He pointed down to the girl. Puffy thought. She opened the door... It swung open... And there was Puffy, suspended by only a door in mid air. " I'm going to go on to a pole now." Puffy shouted up to Johnny, who was looking at her like she was on something. " When I do so, you hold on to the door." Johnny felt himself following Puffy's command. As she slid down on to a pole, Johnny swung over. Sadly, so did the door. As Johnny fell to the ground, he felt a strong hand grabbing him. " For god's sake, Johnny! You were obviously never taught abseiling lessons!" Then, they both were relieved and the wheel reached the ground. But then Amanda came over. " Hey, Johnny." " How do you know my name?" " Oh, around. Listen, you fancy coming to my place?" Johnny beamed. " SURE!!!" With that he went off. Puffy smiled at Cube. As Puffy and Cube went walking up the hill, two black ninjas suddenly ran out the manhole and dragged Puffy down with a grunt. They tried to get Cube but he was just too quick for them. As he watched Puffy get dragged down by the ninjas, he looked around in panic. He remembered his uncle's wise words- When in need, turn to food. So, he did. Meanwhile, Puffy found herself being dragged by the arms down a wet and smelly drain. The bottom was green and slimy, and everything was dark exept for the ninja's two bright torches. She remembered what they did in movies. " Hi! I'm Puffy. May I ask your names?" " Shut up!" grunted one of the ninjas. " Shut up? That's an unusual name. But a lovely one. How about you, sir?" " Will you keep your BIG MOUTH SHUT?!" " Well, that's an unusual name. I've not heard that one. Anyway. What's..." " Look, lady!" one of the ninjas pushed her against the wall. " I don't know if you ever went to school, but if you did, you'd learn to keep your big mouth shut!" Puffy shrugged. " I was only making conversation." she said as she got dragged through the green, sticky sluge again. " We are not your friends. You got that?" Puffy shook her head. " I might not be your friend, but you're my friends." Ninja shut up grunted. " We got a smart one, Rogo." he scowled. " A bit too smart if you ask me. Take her to the boss." " Ah, is Rogo your name? Lovely. And who is this boss?" " Never you mind. Keep your big nose out." he stopped to let other ninjas with a crowd of other people in a line past. But Puffy got the shock of her life when she saw Cube, Eli and Leila! Cube winked and at once Puffy felt relieved. She knew, when Cube had a good idea, it would always work. Suddenly, she and the ninjas entered a lift. " I'd advise you to hold your nose." he said. At once Puffy saw her chance as the ninja's hands loosened. Suddenly, she kick-punched one ninja and spat in Rogo's face. Then she suddenly burst into song. " High on the hill was a lonely goatherd, YODEL A YODEL A YODEL A HEE-HOO!" The two ninja's covered their ears. Puffy sprinted down the drain as best she could, still singing. Suddenly, she was faced with a sign. " Boss Office- Turn Left." Puffy turned left and then was faced with another sign. " Boss office- Turn Left." So she did, and then was faced with another "Turn Left." And more and more, until Puffy was getting so angry with all these " Turn Left"s she felt like she was going to explode. Then she heard a familiar shout. " Puffy! Puffy!" It was Cube. " Oh! Cube!" she cried out to him and hugged him. She then saw Leila and Eli running towards them. " No time to waste." Eli growled. " The police, the army and those ninjas are after us." He ushered the three into a lift. Leila told Puffy everything. " Neoville is nothing more than a few mud huts to huddle up in. Olfano's buisness enterprise ninjas have taken it over and look formore workers each day." She paused to squeeze Puffy's hand. " Cheif and Ellie are alright. But the rest of the villagers have been taken hostage. Cube came up with the bright idea of mingling in with the crowd to save you." Puffy smiled at him as the lift reached the top floor. Eli smiled. " It's time to kick some butt." Eli kicked the door down and entered the room brandishing his emergency shotgun. Leila did some martial arts and Cube gave a glare at the brown desk. There was a leather chair behind a big, wooden brown desk with a pencil pot in the shape of a duck and a picture of a little bunny rabbit. Puffy barged up to the desk. Immediately, the chair spun around to reveal... GASTON! " What the..." Puffy gasped. " What the...WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE???" Gaston smiled. " Greetings, mon chou." he sneered at them. " But...this is a blow to the head...I thought it would be Olfano..." Puffy contemplated. " He sold his enterprize to me for a very..." Gaston smiled slowly. "...profitable sum." Leila rubbed one of the wooden beams holding the building up carefully. " And what do you do in this factory?" Gaston shrugged. " Dunno. No-one knows. Even Olfano. I'm using it to make dresses for my Gabi." Cube nearly spat out the cola he was drinking. " [/i]GABI???[i]" he screeched. " Do you see a problem with that?" he asked. " No, but...she's pretty and you're...you're..." Puffy swiftly changed the subject. " So...why are you destroying the village?" she asked. Gaston threw back his head. " Mon chou, the servants are for making dresses! DUH!" Puffy turned around... and saw a horriffic sight... ...DALEKS! Thousands and thousands of them, swarming towards Puffy and co, shouting " EXTER - MANATE! EXTER - MANATE!!!" Quick as a flash, Cube grapped Puffy and flew out the window! Unfortunately, he also crashed throught the glass! The building was collapsing storey by storey! Eli and Leila rushed into the box room where all of Neoville was working for Gaston. " Everyone, RUN! There are daleks in the building and it's collapsing! QUICK! RUUUN!" So all of Neoville ran into the nearest mud hut as they saw the glass crash to the ground and they saw Gaston, lying on the ground, covered in blood... uffy ran up to him, turned him on his back, and started thumping his back. " We can't just let him die!" she screamed to the villagers. Star ran up to Gaston. " I used to be a paramedic, ya know!" she smiled. Then she turned to Gaston. " Gaston? It's Star here. Can you hear me?" Puffy and Star held their breath. " Yeeesss..." groaned Gaston. Puffy let out a breath of relif and Star smiled. " We're going to get you a nice cup of tea and we'll see what's broken." she told him. Then she signalled to Matthew and Filbert and they put him on a stretcher and carried him to a mud hut. " Does it hurt here?" asked Cube, poking his side. " OOWW!" Cube nodded. " And here?" He poked his leg. " OOWW!" Cube laughed. " And what about..." " THANK YOU, Cube!" Star pushed past him with a cup of tea and a custard cream. Cube clapped his hands. " NOT for you!" Puffy wrapped her arms around his neck and fed him a Viannise swirl. Star rolled her sleeves up and spoked to Gaston. " Everything's gonna be fine love. You'll pull through." Star pushed Puffy and Cube gently out the hut, and they saw Chief and Ellie outside with Puffy and Sean in their arms. Ellie burst into tears and gave Puffy and Cube a huge hug. " We sure missed you!" Chief smiled and gave his sister a hug and kiss.
