Metroid: Colliseum

This is an Adventure-Action game and an FPS game. Sylux is the main villain and it takes place some time before Metroid II.

Sylux hosts a tournament, which Samus is sent to investigate, going under-cover claiming to be taking up Sylux's challenge sent to her right before the Federation sent the mission.

It runs with a campaign mode more closely related to some Mario sports spin-offs. However this is because the story branches, somewhat like Shadow The Hedgehog, only this time, player skill takes dominance over player choice.

The gameplay is split into two sections: Battle and Explore.

The Battle sections play out like the multiplayer Metroid Prime: Hunters. This section is relatively straight-forward. The enemies you face, excluding the first one, can be changed depending on your actions during the Exploration stage.
Exploration is more like a true Metroid, but still in first person. While exploring, you find various enemies around the planet's face, and occaisionally boss-like enemies. However, don't dilly-dally, if you're late for your next round, you'll be disqualified. While in these sections, you can collect power-ups to help you defeat your opponent and find out information about the various plots happening. It is also in these phases that you can cause slight changes to those fighting to change the outcome, thus changing who you battle (this is how you unlock every character), this could be called sabotage, but Samus never gets the chance to change her next opponent.

This section employs a bit of espionage.

There are multiple endings, but only one 'perfect' ending.

Endings: To get certain endings, you must sabotage the fight

Normal ending: Samus defeats Sylux in a battle before taking off her helmet, she leaves the stadium and her ship takes off. The camera zooms on Sylux's face, a computer-like sound is heard and writing appears on Sylux's face, Sylux's mouth is visible through a crack, it smiles.

Weavel's winning ending: Samus attempts to unleash a finishing blow on Weavel, who blurts something out in Space Pirate. Samus steps back, she looks up to see Ridley and several Space Pirate vessels flying above her, Weavel then stabs her in the back with his saber.

Weavel's losing ending:

Trace's losing ending:

Perfect ending: Samus goes to strike Sylux, who counters and lands a strong blow on her, she collapses. Sylux's visor begins to glow.

Sylux's secret weapon is revealed, it appears to be some kind of laser-cannon coming out of the middle of the stadium, to get this point, you'll have scanned enough to know exactly what it is, essentially a weapon of mass destruction, the tournament was a scheme to get every person capable of stopping him within the very core. Samus reveals herself to be feigning defeat, as the camera zooms to her eyes.

Samus leaps up and fires a missile at Sylux, who dodges. Suddenly, Trace tries to grab Sylux, as taking the weapon for himself was his goal, as revealed if you scan enough. Weavel also breaks back into the stadium, but Noxus's Visor glows red, the entire stadium transforms to reveal itself to be the cannon, not just the thing in the middle.

The cannon fires, a large amount of blue energy appears from the object in the middle, and connects to the parts of cannon around it. Suddenly, the entire area is swamped with the energy, to Samus's sides, Trace and Weavel disintegrate. Samus herself starts to be torn apart and falls to the ground. Sylux however, is unharmed.

Sylux walks up to Samus, whose suit gives off warning lights, Sylux lifts Samus's face to look in her eye, suddenly, Samus's suit begins to glow, and takes on a blue and green colour style, identical to Sylux's, Samus then has one final battle with Sylux, who becomes alot more powerful, as scanning will tell you, Sylux's suit is powered by the very energy the cannon produces.

After the battle *No more to be revealed*
