Super High Output, where does it come from? What does it mean? Why was it chosen? What is the significance of the weird icon? Who cares? Well, if you are reading this, then you must be curious, at the very least. Super High Output, better known by its call letters SHO, was an engine developed by Yamaha Motors in 1989 for a new top-of-the-line, sports, luxury sedan produced by Ford; the Taurus. The Ford Taurus SHO boasted a 220 hp, 3.0 litre, DOHC, V6 engine, with a five-speed manual transmission, front, rear, and side body moldings, fog lights, and a four wheel independent McPherson strut suspension, along with four wheel disc brakes, and a dual exhaust. Super High Output was chosen because it is the car I drive. My SHO is an ’89, the lightest and quickest of them ever made; she’s a real sleeper, and can haul with the best of them. As for that weird icon, that’s the Yamaha symbol for those who do not know. See you on the streets.

***Not in the the SHO though, :(. I bought a new car. The SHO is for sale, anyone interested?***
