Metal for the masses! m/

Yes, I'm a pretty boring guy, but I like a lot of things...

chief among those things is music, the best gift ever bestowed upon this world!

I like all kinds of music, Metal is the main thing I listen to (in all it's various forms), but my tastes also extend to Jazz, Classical, Industrial, Instrumental, Rock, Blues, Electronica, and film and game scores.

I'd put a list of all the bands I like but there's too many for me to name at the moment. Look forward to that list at a later date... just kidding I'll probably never update this again. :-P

I'm also a drummer and I'm intending on learning everything related to the keyboard. I also play music with various friends of mine whenever we decide to get together and jam.

Next big thing on my list is video games. Way better than movies and television! I like tons and tons of games, but I'm mostly playing action, adventure, and RPG games as well as the occasional fighter and racer. I'm not really a big fan of racing games, but the arcade type of racers such as Burnout 3 and F-Zero GX are the ones I love. I can't stand sports games however, I just detest them. I'm mostly a console gamer though, as I'm too lazy to hassle all the cost and constant upgrading of my PC just to play the latest titles.

Then we get to movies and anime. Yes I actually like SOME Anime.. the ones that are usually similar to movies and are very serious in the story telling and high on either intelligent plot or viscious action. Stuff like Vampire Hunter D and Ninja Scroll I like because the action is awesome and the characters are very cool, not annoying at all, very violent however. My favorite anime stuff however has to be Ghost in the Shell, I own both the movies as well as half of the first season of the TV show on DVD. The reason I like GitS so much is mainly because it's actually very intelligent and it gets you to think about a lot of things, the movie The Matrix was actually inspired by the original Ghost in the Shell movie. However, I don't like ALL anime, most of the cutesy and stereotypical kind of anime I hate because it's all the same and most of the characters are actually quite annoying. I'm definitely NOT a hardcore anime person.

As for as live action cinema goes though, my favorite movie is without a doubt Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I wrote about the movie on my myspace profile recently, so I'm not really in the mood to go into detail why. It's just an amazing concept and I could watch that movie over and over again. The Matrix and Pulp Fiction are also two of the best movies ever! Sin City and V for Vendetta are high up as well. I like other movies too, but those are the standouts.
