You want to know about me? Didn't see that one coming.. Well, I'm a GIRL 7th grader from Ohio/USA. I have OK grades, I particularly like math in school. And I look forward to learning more algebra (won't hear that from many people here). I love to play sports but not many sports. I'm a bowler, runner, and I occasionally play basketball. I'm going to try out for the team next chance I get but I don't think I'll make it in. That's all I can think of at the moment. I use to play soccer and karate but It was expensive at the time. Oh, about my bowling, I love it. I just happen to have a plaque that says Ohio State Finalist. I Hope to one day get a scholarship from wining the Pepsi Tourament. The closest I came to was Columbus. And with my running, as a kid I couldn't run well.. In soccer everyone would make fun of me because I was the slowest on the team. I still think of myself as slow but I can sprint, fast. I joined the cross country team and ever since I've loved it. And to think I wanted to join track, ph cross country is way better then track.
---Time Line---
Sometime in April 2008 - torn muscle in my leg, physical therapy..
July 12th 2008 -- Sprained my left ankle.. added physical therapy..
July 25th -- neither hurt much anymore but limping because I ran 3 miles at allerdale for CC.
August 4th - Ran 5 miles at Buckeye Woods for the first time, wasn't too tired. But when I came home that night I lost my best Friend.
August 7th: My friends that I lost on the 5th is talking to me again, and even talking to JJ Rocks. Hopefully we're done fighting =D
August 8th: Grandpa went to the Emergency Room.. Went to a CC party with some friends for the Olympic ceremony, tons of fun.
August 9th: Grandma/Uncle are coming for the week from New Jersey.
Neoseeker Activity: Limited
August 13th: Ran my 1st official 5K race. I either got 29:23 or 39:93. My number was 86 but the name written was someone else's because she didn't have one for me. It was fun but my leg hurt bad. Before the race I jogged with the rest of the 7th grade girls 2 miles without stopping to walk. First time I did that too. I was listening to my ipod during the race but it only made me feel more tired. In the beginning it helped though. And going around the final field tward the finish I had to stop and walk because I couldn't breathe DX
August 16th-17th: Went to an all night run with my CC team. It was tons of fun, except for the running part xP. We all had to go a minimum of 12 miles, or 40 times around the track. I finished but on the very last hour when we did the indian run. Joey didn't get a chance to finish which I don't understand. He had 20 laps to go. When I first got there at 7PM we started running at the same time. Oh, and we also did some awesome stuff in the football/soccer field like soccer, capture the flag, and even duck duck goose. When someone said goose to me I flung my arm around and got him imediately. I was going around the giant circle and two high schoolers were telling me to pick a kid laying down like he was asleep. I did and ran really fast. He freakin flipped and chased me down even though I was running at my full speed- which is pretty fast.. GOD that's enough writing! Bottom line is, it was awesome. I left out alot but I dont really care.
August 23: my first school-event race. Even though most of the race I was struggling to breathe only 2 people passed me and I ended up passing 5. My time was 24 minuets and I was so ashamed.. Oh well, my first race competively.. I got stabbed by someone's spikes too. I needa get a pair of those xD

"LAFAYETTE TWP. — A 13-year-old township boy died Friday night after he was struck crossing U.S. Route 42.
Cody Young was attempting to cross from the east side of Route 42 to the west when a 1999 Ford Ranger driven by Matthew A. Shaum, 30, of Burbank, hit him at about 6:21 p.m. Shaum was driving north on Route 42, according to a release from the state highway patrol.
Young was transported by emergency medical helicopter to Lodi Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the release said.
Shaum and his passengers were not injured.
The accident remains under investigation, the release said."

He was born Dec. 28, 1994, in Elyria and lived in Valley City before moving to Lafayette last year. He had just finished sixth grade at Cloverleaf and previously was a student at Buckeye. He enjoyed football and basketball, was very artistic and loved to be the center of attention."
