It’s been another year, so this is my yearly update. I’ll leave the old one up for the hell of it.

Anyway, I’m Brent, I live Australia and have been a Neoseeker regular for quite a while now. I’ve met a lot of great people here and have contributed to some awesome conversations. Since this is update three, I have to keep the standard high and update all the categories below. So:

--UNI LIFE--
2007: Two years ago I enrolled in a Communications course at Edith Cowan University. I am doing a double major in Multimedia and Film/Video. The course runs for three years and believe it or not, I actually enjoy it. the work load is so much heavier in the second year and I'm so glad i'm on Summer holidays for 3 1/2 months. I’ll probably end up getting my honors or another degree in the end because Uni life rocks.

2008: I’ve finally finished my degree and actually have my Uni Graduation tomorrow. However, I’m still going to study more, as I said last year. I’m doing a Diploma of Education. Not that I want to spend my life being a teacher though. I’ll try it for a while and then travel.

--EMPLOYMENT--
2007: I did nightfill at a large supermarket for about year and quit because they made me work on saturday nights which was a pain because I wanted to go out earlier. So, I quit and I now have a job at a gas station, lol. Why? Because I like the smell of petrol. Oh, there's also the money and hours.

2008: It depresses me that I’m still working at the gas station haha. My shifts have been cut down to 7.5 hours a week so I’m going to spend the majority of this year broke.

--SPORTS--
2007: I love Aussie Rules Footy. Last year I was bitching about how the eagles Lost to Sydney in the Grand Final. However, this years grand final was a remach and THE EAGLES WON BY A POINT!!!!!! That was seriously one of the happiest moments of my life, lol. Best night out in Perth too. Everyone was so happy, and drunk. I lost my voice the next day though :(.
I used to play footy but quit after I discovered Basketball. After 5 seasons, my team broke up. I joined another team but that soon ended due to night-fill (Seriously, it sucks! Don't do it) Now, the only chance I get to play is on Sundays at the local leisure centre which I don't really do anymore since I'm sleeping till about 2pm. My new sport is Indoor Cricket. I'm loving that.

2008: Well, I started playing Basketball again. I’m still not as good as I used to be but I’m getting there. I don’t know how long I’ll be playing for since it’s about a 30 minutes drive every week and that’s getting annoying. Indoor Cricket is a lot more enjoyable in my opinion. I can’t see myself quitting that any time soon. Oh, and to keep you updated on the AFL, the Eagles did crappy this year. I could rant about how much of a moron Ben Cousins is, but I’ll probably surpass the word limit. Best of luck to the Eagles this year…

--HOBBIES--
2007: I love going to the Gym. It keeps me fit and unlike most people, I actually find it fun. I try to go about 3-4 times a week but Uni has made this very hard. It should be easier now that I am on holidays. I also have an electric guitar which STILL has so much dust it’s disgusting. In my last update, I didn't think it was possible to get more dust, but it does! I have tried to get back into playing it so many times but it is not going to happen. My dream of being a rock star is officially over.

2008: Nothing much has changed except the fact that I’ve started playing guitar again. Well, one a week or so. I’m getting there but it’s kind of sad that I suck a million times more than I used to. At least the dust level has been reduced.

--MOVIES--
2007: I am really into movies (just as well since I am studying them). My favorite genres are probably Action/Sci-fi and comedy although Anime is slowly working its way up the list. The Matrix trilogy was amazing and goes down as my favorite series of all time, particularly the first two films. Lord of the Rings is also great, especially the extended versions. Other Favorites include: The Butterfly Effect, Mullholland Drive, Star Wars, Baseketball, Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a dream and Saw!

2008: I’ll add a word or two on Anime. Over the last year I’ve seen several awesome series. Namely Deathnote and Elfen Leid. I’m watching Trigun at the moment and that seems alright.

--GAMES--
2007: I also play games. I’m mainly a console RPG person. Suikoden is my favorite series with the famous Final Fantasy series following closely behind. I don’t do much online gaming anymore. Starcraft used to my religion but I’m now a Christian. I played Gunbound for a while but that honestly got boring very quickly. Some of my other favorite games are; the “Metal Gear Solid” series, “Gitaroo Man”, “Super Smash Brothers Melee” and “Shadow Hearts: Covenant”. Nothing has changed here since last year.

2008: Haha, I don’t think I’ve purchased a game since my last update. I usually just play Guitar Hero to be honest. That is now one of my favourite games. I guess I’ll get into gaming once I have money. I tend to blow what little money I make on going out.

--MUSIC--
2007:I have been a metal fan for about 4 years now. Rob Zombie has been my idol for a long time. As well as making great music, he is also a movie director (House of 100 corpses and The Devils Rejects) and the author of a comic book series (Spookshow Baby). I would pay $200 to see him in concert but I doubt he will ever come to Australia. Disturbed is another awesome band. Other personal favorites include: Manson, Drowning Pool, Breaking Benjamin and Ramstein.

2008: I have finally been to a concert (or three). The first one was Dragon Force which was super awesome, then Manson which was my best concert to date, and then Nightwish. This Monday I’m going to Soundwave (Offspring, Incubus, Killswitch, Scary Kids, Divine heresy, FATA, As I lay Dying, MSI, etc) and I’m looking soooo forward to that. I’m not so much obsessed with Rob Zombie any more. It’s safe to say that I like Disturbed, Drowning Pool and Manson more now.

That’s all :D
