Well lets see...I first came to neo way back in 2004 looking for hints on how to find the "super-hidden" camos in MGS3. I was later to find out that they were only unlockable by inserting the soundtrack CD's into the system while the game was active. In the process I came across these little ole forums. My name, reaver11, came from the Legacy of Kain series (which I was absolutely obsessed with at the time) with the Soul Reaver being the ultimate weapon, hence my name (11 is just my number). For me, this was an entirely new experience. So I only posted when I really needed help, which was not very often as I mostly used the FAQ on the site (something people have a hard time doing these days). So I kinda went into a year long drought without a post.
Then came Shadow of the Colossus and MGS3: Subsistence, and so I came back to Neo. This was when I began my year long escapade of near-non-stop posting. I mostly posted in the MGS3/Subsistence forums, as well as FFX, DMC1 and 3, and FFXII. Occasionally in the General PS3 forum and MGS4 forum later on. And in the process, I met some pretty cool dudes (and some chicks) such as Big Boss, linkin park fan, Vapour Snake, Wolf, Jak66, Xonora, and king_of_hearts (yes, you too) to name a few. I also hosted a few games in the FFX and MGS3 forums, and soon bacame one of the "go to" guys when it came to Metal Gear knowledge (I have about 6 dozen PMs asking about a plot point in the Metal Gear series).
But early in 2007, after I had held a steady job for a year, Neo began to "bore" me a bit. I was tired of the non-stop bickering, the endless ranting, raving, trolling, flamming, everything. Then it hit me - this place had grown old, and I had out grown it. That was way back on April 22 of 2007. I went a solid 5 months without visiting.
Then back in August or September, I decided to see what was going on here and see how my old pals were doin. Now I just PM here now. I do not post. Mainly because I seem to have outgrown the general topic of discussion here and I don't feel like garnering the headache of swarms of relentless fanboys telling me how right or wrong I am. Its just not for me anymore. Though I do still get a laugh out of what they talk about. I like games, just not as much anymore. But I must say, this place did entertain me for a long time. I miss it, but at the same time, I don't. Now I really only talk to Big Boss and linkin park fan as I lost track of everyone else.

I came back, only because everyone was annoying me and I was tired of not saying anything. Now its pretty much an "I say, you say nothing" kinda attitude. I don't feel I need to explain myself to pestering fanboys, so I don't. I do what I say and I say what I mean and what I want. Thats all. But every once in a while I'll give an occasional leg up and shell out some help. Now I'm just waiting for the 24-Hour MGS Quiz to start whenever Big Boss gets around to it... |
