Remember when Apple called the iPhone "the best portable device for gaming" at last year's "Let's Rock!" event?  Months following, they backed up that statement by hooking up with Konami, announcing Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill for the iPhone.

Yep, Old Snake is back, and now he's motion sensitive!  And a whole lot tinier.  That Sony PSP better be watching its back.

We've just gotten a hold of eight new screenshots from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Touch.  You have your usual scrolling text replacing the lengthy cinematics, an appropriately simple interface -- and we're going to guess that crosshair is controled by jerking your iPhone around.
