Posts woman's number, offers to sell her daughter
Christa Manos of Punta Gorda is more than upset over a recent prank someone pulled on her.
An Xbox LIVE subscriber apparently posted the woman's telephone number with the statement, "selling a child, will pay for shipping." Following that prank post, 23-year-old Manos received countless phone calls from angry people across the United States, all outraged by the message. Manos thought the calls themselves were a prank at first, but they wouldn't stop coming.
"By the 18th or 19th call, I knew something wasn't right," she said.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office later found the message on Xbox LIVE. The case is active, and Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Carpenter stated the individual responsible could face charges like criminal use of information.
"When I saw it, I wanted to hurt someone," Manos added, still furious someone would make such a joke about her and her 2-year-old daughter. She also claims to have a pretty good idea of who the prankster is.
Awesome trolling there.
