I been workin' on the OS all me live-long day..
Though some tech writers out have asked Microsoft to release Windows 7 now, being fit as it is (and we can attest), the corporation appears steadfast in reaching an even better end goal.
According to Russian website Wzor, a public release candidate (RC) for the operating system and Windows Server 2008 R2 will be released to the public during the last week of May, with an "escrow" build (basically the pre-pre-final version, released to select testers) coming the last week of April.
A blog post from Microsoft on Friday shows us even further just how much they're incorporating user feedback to refine the OS, so every bit of time they take, it seems, can only be a good thing.
Also reported is the most recent build version: 7061, compiled on March 11.
If all this rings true, it appears the recently linked 7057 build is not a release candidate after all, or at least not the release candidate.
Now, if they manage to improve the system without making the final product heavier, it will be awesome.
