Complete with low-rent trailer
Microsoft bring word today of some upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Rare's adventure Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, arriving April 7.
The DLC is named the Lord of Games’ (L.O.G) Lost Challenges Game Add-On pack, wherein the aforementioned Lord, afraid Banjo and Kazooie will fall back into their lazy ways once their adventure is over, has created a series of tests (12) and multiplayer modes (count 'em, seven) for players to resume their vehicle creation. And though "Spiral Mountain has been rightfully won", old L.O.G. has a reward in mind for completing the challenges: another version of Klungo's Arcade game.
More than that, vehicle blueprints and their products will be included (ranging from a beetle to a carousel to a robot), courtesy of seven Xbox fans from the U.S., Canada and Japan who won the fan vehicle design contest. Note these will have to be unlocked by completing the Stop 'N' Swop feature within the XBLA version of Banjo-Tooie, coming later this spring.
250 achievement points are available through the DLC, which is priced at 400 Microsoft points.
Rare have released a trailer to promote the content (in addition to the screenshots), but it's pretty atrocious, so you may want to avert your eyes (and ears):
