Got nothing better to do between April 9 and April 17?  Then EA and Crytek would like you to take part in the free trial period of their multiplayer Crysis Warhead spin-off, Crysis Wars.

Starting today, players can sign-up to play all of Crysis Wars online for free, with access to the game's three multiplayer modes and all 23 maps.  But it's only good until Friday, April 17.

The brief window lets players get a taste of the Crysis series.  EA and Crytek as so convinced you'll like what you sample that they're also eagerly announcing the Crysis Maximum Edition, a compilation of all three Crysis games in one box.  This collection of Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars will be available on May 5 for $39.99, which isn't a terribly bad deal at all.

“When Crysis Wars was released seven months ago, one of our biggest goals was to be able to deliver continued support to our growing multiplayer community,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek.  “We think we have delivered on that promise, not only by releasing new content, fixes and our powerful MOD SDK, but also by continuing to offer these types of free trials.”

Actually it was a typo from the author on the topic. Crysis Wars has been out since the launch of Crysis Warhead.
