Electronic Arts has announced the beginning of "Beyond the Sands," the next major event in the Call to Arms live expansion for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

This week, from April 20 to April 27, armies of WAR will fight over the wreckage of an airship that fell from the sky, pondering over alien artifacts from other lands.  No, I don't expect any Naaru may be hiding inside.

All of this points toward the Land of the Dead, where the Tomb Kings reside.  Soldiers of the Order and Destruction will be sent to recover the artifacts of the Nehekhara Kings, battling Liche Priests to accomplish their goal.  Those who succeed in this quest line will be given treasures and fame, including unique event titles "Grave Robber" and "The Eternal," Tomb King trophies, and possibly Aviator Goggles -- a helmet with special properties reserved for the truly dedicated players.
