Corporate policies on foreign travel cited
Keiji Inafune, Capcom's producer for the Onimusha and Dead Rising franchises, had originally planned to attend the Nordic Game Conference in Sweden this week. However, the trip has been cancelled due to the global H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak.
"I'm sorry to announce that Keiji Inafune has cancelled his appearance at Nordic Game 2009, due to corporate policy restricting foreign travel during the current influenza outbreak," said a Nordic Game spokesperson.
Taking Inafune's place will be Team 17's Martyn Brown, who will be delivering the 'Digital Publishing for Independent Studios: Myth or Reality?' talk in his stead.
While the ESA has stated E3 2009 will not be affected by the H1N1 scare, it is uncertain whether attendees and guest speakers feel the same way.
