Okay, aside from having completely lost count of how many Guitar Hero games Activision's churned out up to now, we have a new trailer for the upcoming DS title Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits.

The game will feature hit songs by Weezer, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand, Lenny Kravitz, The Strokes, Foo Fighters, Wolfmother, and 20 other bands, as this "Backstage" trailer confirms.  Players can also select new rockers, so that's... something.  As always, you will need the peripheral to play Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits.

One has to wonder if the timing is meant to coincide with the recent setlist announcement for Rock Band Unplugged from Harmonix.
