Approvals remain inconsistent and confuse the hell out of us
Game developer Metaversal Studios is rather confused about Apple's approval policies after the iPhone manufacturer rejected their game-App Hot Dog Down a Hallway due to sexual innuendos. The innuendos appear in the form of achievement awards, which contain suggestive slang terms.
Only snag here is that Apple continues selling the first game, which Metaversal says contains the same suggestive content. A spokesperson from Apple has confirmed the second version was barred from their App Store but won't give any reason as to why, given that they still offer the previous version for $0.99 -- big surprise.
Numerous software developers have complained about Apple's inconsistent and vague standards. We're inclined to agree, after the Baby Shaker fiasco, NIN app rejection, and other such amusing iPhone-related moments. Apple has also previously barred a Twitter update tool and a BitTorrent management App.
