Namco Bandai renovating
The forthcoming Splatterhouse revival from publisher Namco Bandai has had a rough journey: previously slated for 2009, the company knocked off developer bottleRocket -- "performance issues" and unspecified requirements were cited, though the team disagreed entirely -- and decided to have their internal Afro Samurai-making studio head up the game.
Following this, Namco offered contracts to the team to help work on the game, with some accepting.
In any case, for those still interested in a new take on the Splatterhouse franchise: you can now catch this one next year, perhaps in Q1 or Q2.
"Namco Bandai Games America Inc. is hard at work on Splatterhouse," a Namco representative stated. "Development is in full swing and we are committed to bringing it to the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. This will give us time to polish and incorporate all the content to deliver a top notch game worthy of this classic video game franchise."
