Console port of Namco Bandai's arcade brawler will also be available in a full-blown limited edition bundle
In case Namco Bandai's Soulcalibur just isn't the can o' whoopass you feel like opening anymore, they've still got Tekken. The good news is that the console ports of Tekken 6 are now confirmed for this October 27th, 2009. Limited Edition bundles for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases of the game will also be made available for the truly dedicated fan. These special packages will retail for $149.99 USD and includes the game, a special wireless fighting stick by well-respected manufacturer Hori, and a collectible art book that looks to be hardcover. Boy, these limited edition packages sure are getting popular with fighting games!

In addition, those who preorder either the standard or limited edition releases of Tekken 6 at GameStop can score even more goodies: a twelve-month desk calender and a "Samurai Pack" featuring bonus downloadable content for game. The Samurai Pack allows players to unlock a special "Cardboard Tube Samurai" costume (based on the Penny Arcade comic character) for Yoshimitsu, as well as cute little "nobori" (Japanese war banners often linked to the historic Sengoku era) you can attach to backs of the rest of the cast.
The Cardboard Tube SamuraiMeanwhile, Namco Bandai is running an online tournament over the next nine weeks where fans can view match-up trailers and vote for their favorites to advance to the next round by sharing unique URLs to the videos with friends. The next phase of this online character tournament will then begin on August 24th, where there will likely be more bonus content for visitors to unlock for download from the official site.
