DYNASTY WARRIORS 6: Empires DLC coming in July

Game ships today in North America, DLC to be free!

It's official, Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires is out today in North America for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3!  KOEI fans can quit holding their breaths -- unless they live in Europe.

The release of DW6 Empires also marks the return of character creation or Edit Mode, just one of many customization options you'll find in the new Empires game.  KOEI has confirmed that Edit Mode DLC and additional music tracks will be hitting Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network starting this July!

Neoseeker's DW6 Empires review went live early yesterday, and you can learn more about how the game works.  Definitely a recommendation to long-standing fans of the Dynasty Warriors franchise, even those alienated by DW6.

Update: KOEI has confirmed that the upcoming DLC will be free of charge!

Not true, i live in EU(UK) and had it delivered to me through Gamestation for around 12:30pm on 23rd. Good game but slightly disapointing. The ruler mode is terrible and highly boring, good thing officer mode isnt. Officer mode you can not only join a faction(Even Shu, Wu & Wei) but you can do/ still be a merc

Just hope for DLC they add new weapons because the current ones are boring, old and buggy. Ling Tongs new weapon cannot work on females, hand only touch's on part leaving most of it floating and cannot use Sima Yi's weapon without sleeve's, or have floating pins following you.

Lol back after fully playing through a ruler mode... all you do is invade/defend. Tactic wise, nothing other then chosing wether to sell a captured officer or select cards which most are just power-ups making you stronger. You can only invade once a month, and you have to do it yourself rather then sending your army to do it for you.

Officer mode, the rulers do much, much more. They invade several places at once, do missions for villagers, other officers/rulers and increase important things such as weapon levels and mounts. Theres NONE of that for you as a ruler... its terrible. You have alot more options playing as an officer(And more tactics!) available. You can also marry, swear oaths and make friends in officer mode, yet ruler no... there isnt even events

Also whats bad is the fact that you loose all levels everytime you complete empire mode

Trophies dicovered up to now would be 1 for completing each of the different empire modes(Chi-Bi, Three kingdoms ect.)

Sorry for all the posting, just felt that the ruler mode was a big dissapointment even when compared to DW5E. Officer mode would be the best thing in the DW series up to now.

Well actually you can make oaths as a leader (I made oaths with Yue Jin i believe before becoming ruler and I made a oath with Cao Ren while being a ruler (It happens kinda like the mysterious merchant) but I'm unsure if you can be married as leader (I hope so) :3

Yes but it happens at random and doesnt give you a choice of who. It also takes a VERY long time compared to officer mode :/
