Lookee, lookee!

Our editor Lydia Sung would normally be all over these new Darkside Chronicles assets from ze Festival des Loisirs Japonais, but as she's away at another Japan-related expo (the Anime one, to be specific), here we are.

The Darkside Chronicles, if you're as of yet unacquainted, is an on-rails entry in the Resident Evil franchise, this one set for the Nintendo Wii late this year. Fan favourites Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy make a return, each of whom's enemies this time are "their own demons." The game is said to feature upgraded gameplay from The Umbrella Chronicles, and will fill in holes left by that title.

The first item we have today is a trailer, which follows the original announcement trailer and the second from Captivate 2009.

Next up we have 25 new screenshots, mostly depicting the enemies -- one in particular seems like a cross between a Necromorph (Dead Space) and Soul Calibur's Voldo. Our favourite is this gorgeous fellow.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles launches this winter on the Wii.

I'd love to play the HD remakes of Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 on Sony PlayStation 3.

Note: My Resident Evil: Nemesis Disc is now somehow not working in the middle of a good level. I mean just precisely in the graveyard, Hee Hee........

I'm glad this game covers Code Veronica too, I never had the chance to play that one. =/

Enemies look especially freaky in this! =D
