It's a contest!

Buy an NVIDIA video card, win a trip to BlizzCon Image 1

NVIDIA is inviting everyone to participate in a new contest. Up for grabs is a trip to check out Blizzard's annual BlizzCon in Anaheim.

To qualify in the U.S. and Canada, you have the option of purchasing a GeForce 9600 GT, GeForce 9800 GT, GeForce 9800 GTX+ or a GeForce GTS 250 (which is the same as a 9800 GTX+, if you want to get technical about it), from select retailers.

The participating e-tailers in US/Canada are, Amazon.com, MWave.com, NCIX.com, Newegg.com, TigerDirect.com, and ZipZoomFly.com.

The contest will run between July 1, 2009 and August 1, 2009. Buyers of these video cards will receive an entry code for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Blizzcon 2009 for you and a guest. For complete contest details, rules and regulations, and additional information on how to enter without a qualifying product purchase, please visit here. The entire trip is valued up to $2400 USD!

The same entry code you receive is also good for one FREE digital download of the complete World of Warcraft Classic game. This download includes a full install of the complete retail version of the game with unrestricted 30-day access to character classes, cities, quests, chat, and other features from World of Warcraft Classic. Now you can be a hopeless MMORPG addict as well!

So if you are in the market for a new inexpensive video card, this just may be the perfect time to go and choose from the qualifying products and beef up your rig  -- while potentially winning a free trip at the same time.

...This is stupid. Not that I have any interest in going, but I just bought a 9800GT a week ago. I just received it today but the date I bought it was June 30. And yes, I bought it from Newegg. >_>

Hee Hee, What is Blizzcon 09?

Is that a small city or a quiet resort town in Canada?

Naw THM, good guess though. It is a Blizzard festival in Anaheim. They show off their games, and people dress up like dwarves and stuff. IT's pretty zany.

I don't like Blizzard and their milking their franchises with no real innovation since 2001-2002 and WoW is the biggest scam in gaming history. The manipulation in that game is insane.

I don't play any Blizzard games anymore, but I wouldn't mind going. The convention looks fun, PLUS a free all-expenses paid trip to Anaheim?! That's in Florida, right? Why wouldn't you want to go? I wouldn't cosplay, but seeing other people's costumes would be great. I've seen some of them. They're pretty impressive.
