Sports and video games go surprisingly well together, and EA knows this better than anyone.

EA SPORTS has announced today that NCAA fans can now purchase NCAA Football 10 from North American retailers.  This is the latest installment in EA SPORTS' college football game franchise and offers a new mode of play: Season Showdown.  Players can now declare their loyalty to a particular school and earn credits for their favorite institution of higher learning by playing NCAA Football 10 or trying the new web-based Season Showdown games.

Additionally, TeamBuilder lets fans create personalized content in the game online, choosing from numerous logos and other customization options for uniforms, fields, rosters, and more.  EA SPORTS boasts that since launch, more than 160,000 teams have been created using the TeamBuilder feature.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will include the Road to Glory mode as well, hosted by Erin Andrews.  Road to Glory is a broadcast-style video presentation, in which Andrews and Kirk Herbstreit document your virtual college career.  And yes, you will have a dorm room to display your trophies in.  NCAA Football 10 is also available on PlayStation 2 and PSP.
