Launching with $5 weekend deal

Horror fans and those of oldschool point-and-clicks, dungeon crawlers, Heavy Rain, and/or BioShock running Macs or Linux who want a little something different out of the genre should check out the newly launched Penumbra Collection, which comprises the three series titles in one handy installer.

In keeping with a recent Windows deal, a $5 launch for the set will be on this weekend, after which it will sell for $20. The developer Frictional Games says "due to numerous inquires from Mac & Linux gamers we hope that this offer will achieve full cross-platform horror enjoyment."

The collection can be had from the Frictional Games store (where you can also find demos) for Mac and Linux, and for Mac specifically, on the Mac Game Store, Mac Games Arcade, and the also newly launched Gamer's Gate for Mac. As they do, we encourage you to show your support, as "they're a small, independent developer and would like to stay that way!"
