Debut trailer and screenshots inside
Ubisoft hasn't revealed much about its upcoming Assassin's Creed (AC) tie-in for the PSP, subtitled Bloodlines -- until now, that is. In today is a debut story & gameplay trailer, a FAQ, four screenshots, and details on a bundle, for those who are still considering getting a PSP, or the collector with an indispensable amount of income that needs to have everything.
Last thing first: the bundle will be called the Limited Edition PSP Entertainment Pack, and will retail for $200. Here's what you get:
White PSP-3000 system
Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines PSP game
UMD Movie (to be announced shortly!)
2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo
No image yet, but check back here and on GameGrep in the coming weeks and months -- one of these is sure to have a shot of it.
Not one to tease (too much), we present to you the debut trailer for Bloodlines:
The game's producer Frederic Lefrancois has posted on the PlayStation blog some interesting bits the trailer may have you wondering about. Firstly, the game is a direct sequel to the original AC, beginning right after the events of that game, with Altair hunting down the ascending Templars in Cyprus, which is the basis of the story.
Lefrancois notes this is the only title to explain the link between AC and AC2; playing salesman a bit, perhaps, he states, "If you want to understand how Ezio is born and where the Codex comes from, you need this game."
The link between the two titles is furthered by the connectivity functions -- e.g. unlocked health and Hidden blade upgrades from II will be unlocked in Bloodlines; Templar Coins and special weapons unlocked in the latter will be transferred to the former.
Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines is expected to release this November.
Well, I've already got a new PSP-3000 system, and there is no point in buying for just white PSP and game bundle. But, this is more similar with the first one, I reckon.
To be honest, I'd prefer to play Assassin Creed 2 which is likely to include more amazing graphics and gameplay. Besides, I'd love to see the beautiful scenery of Venice which is of course somehow related with my Art History subject, Hee Hee....
