Half-Life total conversion mod still kicking
We haven't heard about this fan-made Half-Life 'remake' since November, but some new pre-alpha footage in today assures us the total conversion mod, aptly titled Black Mesa, is still alive and kicking.
If you're not aware of it at this point, now's as good a time as any to check out the debut trailer, a personal all-time favourite of ours:
You can see why we're excited then, to present even a little bit of new footage. This bit is from the first level of the game, and again, it's strictly pre-alpha, meaning there's still quite a ways to go.
According to the Mod Database, Black Mesa is estimated to release Q4 of this year -- take that with a grain or two of salt, of course.
OMG that is the poorest demo video I've ever seen.
Indeed it would be if it wasn't pre-alpha footage of thing's they're working on.
quote Frank Grimes
If that truly is Black Mesa footage those guys should be embarrassed that it's out in public.
Indeed because you know, they're in it for the money and the fame and money... oh wait, they're not. BM: Source will be out when it comes out really, it's a community project by talented individuals donating the time they have available.

I hope the design improves a lot.
