There has been a leak
There has been a bit of a mix-up, and a retailer has released details of an upcoming Microsoft PC product prematurely. We have not signed any NDA's on the product, so hopefully they will not be upset if we tell you about it.
It's called the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema USB Webcam. Basically, it is high-definition webcam. No more squiggles and 320x320 images for you -- with this thing, you could actually film a decent-looking home movie if you wanted.
The specifications for the unannounced product went up on website Play.com, and website the Inquirer take a screenshot before the page was taken down.
The 720p HD webcam is selling to Euro-folk for 90.99. That is about $130. If you are a big fan of chatting online, than $130 sounds like a fair price to pay for the high-quality streaming of videos of your friends, family, and random Internet'ers you meet in shady chat groups.
I have a 720p pocket camera, I think with all costs accounted for, it was about $230+ CAN or so? Creative Vado HD.
