Enraged Jason "Mayhem" Miller kicks off when he sees his in-game statistics first-hand
At this year's E3, Electronic Arts went ahead and announced MMA, a mixed martial arts fighter which tags along with the rest of the EA Sports franchise. The game is definitely going to share similarities with THQ's UFC Undisputed 2009, which was launched earlier this year and received huge appraisal from both players and critics, which could have influenced EA to press the development of this game.
One aspect of gaming that isn't pondered on much, is how developers manage to get their games as authentic as possible, mostly within sports titles. With MMA, Electronic Arts obviously needed to consult a panel of real-life fighters to aid them with the development of the title. Also, we all know that in sporting games, especially wrestling ones, that there are always those selected few characters who don't receive the most complimentary of in-game statistics.
In MMA, one character in particular, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, is present at an EA conference to reflect on how the game is coming along. However, when he finds that his in-game alias lacks in the statistics department, chaos ensues as the enraged wrestler almost throws punches at various members of the development team.
