Fable III will feature Natal support

Peter Molyneux yaps some more about what might be

In September, we learned that numerous publishers are committing to Microsoft's Project Natal, including Square Enix, Activision Blizzard, Konami, Bethesda, Ubisoft, and more.  Could it be that this Natal business is more than just a gimmick?

Anyway, as many have already speculated, Fable III will be getting Natal support.  This news came directly from Peter Molyneux's mouth, though we're fairly certain this is actually going to happen.  Molyneux also said there would be a new microtransaction in-game shop, where players can purchase swords at a puny price.

Now before you go around boycotting anything, Molyneux did note that many of these features he talks about could be dropped before release.  We'll only need to wait until the end of 2010 to see for ourselves.

In Fable III, players enter Albion 50 years after the events in Fable II and are once again faced with tough decisions, which will reflect upon their character.  Instead of playing an adventuring hero unchained by responsibilities, you'll be a king (or queen) who must answer to your people.

Blah blah blah, who even takes Molyneux seriously anymore? "you'll be able to plant an acorn and watch the acorn gorow into a tree, which will drop more acorns and turn into a forest!"

Yeah *bleep*ing right, this guy rarely delivers on anything he promises. Still, the first fable was a good game, but good god.

I'd rather listen to Molyneux's false promises than someone bitching about them for the millionth time.

    I concur with chau,

At least we have visionaries who THINK big and beyond instead of developers who conform and settle for the status quo.

thinking big doesn't mean much if they don't deliver on those big thoughts. I mean, if i told you for months "I'm going to make a game that will be like a life simulator. You'll be able to have sex and it will feel like the real deal! it will be the best roleplaying game ever!", wouldn't you be a tad disappointed when all you got was another rehash of the typical adventure/rpg with a not so unique alignment system?

I can promise any number of things to you, if i don't deliver on them, why would you continue to praise me? I mean, come now. I bet none of you were this nice to Too Human when it came out, even though it had "big ideas" and attempted to challenge the "status quo"

There is a flaw in your logic: Too Human sucked.

I have to agree, I thought people were whining complaining about Too Human because it was the popular thing to do. But after playing through the game a few weeks ago I came to the conclusion that it did indeed suck.

Anyway I think people need give Peter Molyneux a break, the guy just gets so excited about his work he lets slip some ideas that can't make it into the game. Is that really a good reason to hate him? Some people need to just enjoy what's in the game, and stop complaining about some stupid golden acorn that never happened.

The promises thing doesn't really bug me; a good game is a good game.

I really dislike Fable 2. I thought it sucked immensely. If you're going to love a creator for big ideas that never get implemented, i don't see why you hated Too Human so much. I mean, your criteria for "awesome" seems a bit vague and arbitrary.

Still waiting on F2 for the PC actually, I liked it on the console but I wanted to swap sides for the next game, unfortunately it seems like that really will not happen.
